7 books down so far, so slightly ahead of the pace for my goal of 50 this year.
I really enjoyed the last couple of Tom Clancy series books by
M.P. Woodward. They had a bit more life to them than some of the recent books in the Jack Ryan and Jack Jr. series - not sure how to describe it other than that, so decided to check out his new book
Red Tide. It was also very good - like a smaller scope version of Red Storm Rising but between the US and China.
DCC was excellent and I'm looking forward to reading book 2 soon but first I'm reading the new Pendergast novel by Preston and Child. It's a prequel, looking back to his first case in the FBI and apparently describes how Proctor came to be in his service. I just love this series, dating back to the Cabinet of Curiosities. I really would like to do a re-read of the series at some point but there are so many books waiting on my shelf.
