The House Intelligence Committee just wrapped its classified briefing on the drone situation in New Jersey.

The overwhelming consensus from members: there’s nothing nefarious going on in the skies there.
Most sightings appear to be manned aircraft, stars, etc., they say.

So far the government has told us:
1. The drones were coming from an Iranian mothership off the coast.
2. The drones were hobby and commercial drones.
3. They are not drones, they are airplanes…
I think different things are happening that are all being described as one phenomenon, inaccurately.Agristotle said:

If you watch just one of my videos tonight watch this one. This object seems to hover and be stationary for so long I almost convinced myself it was a star. And then it slowly. VERY slowly flew right over me and my farm. I estimate it was going 30mph or less. There was some low… pic.twitter.com/AjI3fPxEwP

I think a spark started this incident - maybe Picatinny Arsenal or the nearby Trump golf course - which fits a troubling pattern years running.
It's not just hobbyists mixed with foreign spying with hobbyist drones like the Vandenberg SFB arrest of a Chinese national or the unexplained Wright Patterson AFB incident. The unidentified objects over Langley AFB in Virginia were not affected by electronic countermeasures and pilots sent to check it out could not lock on, as I told @joerogan yesterday.
Meanwhile the White House points to widespread misidentifications by civilians and says "nothing nefarious" to downplay the underlying gravity of a problem Senators on Intel and Armed Services like @marcorubio and @SenGillibrand have been calling out for years.
The stakes are much higher now. Once opened this door doesn't close.
Why has this indifference lasted so long?
It's time for the new administration to make identifying unknown objects in our airspace a priority.
