This one is close to home for many Aggies. DFW area. From what I can tell, these pictures are from his officers who had actual eyes on themselves and not just responding to reports. I spent some time growing up about three blocks away from that facility and the local LE will be extremely familiar with what is normal in the air there and what is not. I cannot stress that enough. It is an very busy airspace and if they don't know who is doing this, that lends credence to this claim IMO.

Due to local media inquiries related to police radio traffic from last night, our team is releasing this statement:
We started responding to multiple reports of drones flying near city neighborhoods, federal and military properties on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 8:14 p.m.
@WSPDTX
officers saw drones in the area flying near Bomber Road, Silver Creek, and N. Las Vegas Trail. We coordinated with security personnel at military and federal properties to try and locate the pilot-in-command.
At 8:54 p.m. and 10:21 p.m., we responded to additional reports of multiple drones in this area.
As a reminder, the City of White Settlement and adjacent areas near federal and military properties are "NO FLY ZONES" due to being a military operation area in the national airspace.
Out of an abundance of caution, reports have been initiated and we are working with the FBI, NCIS, and Air Force OSI to determine the flight trajectories and who was piloting the unmanned aircraft. While we do not believe there were any immediate threats related to last night's activities, it is concerning due to operating in "NO FLY ZONES" near federal and military properties.
ETA: Did some digging to try to debunk and they were some flights in the area around those times. Cessnas at 500+m AGl which could possibly account for them on the surface but looking at further reports also found this.

"We haven't seen the formation of drones like that before," said Christopher Cook, police chief in White Settlement.
Investigators said starting after 8 PM on Tuesday, residents and police officers saw drones flying together about 100 feet in the air, sometimes in groups of six, other times two or three drones together.
The sightings continued for more than two hours, with some reports coming from federal law enforcement.
Doesn't really sound like solo Cessnas which local LE would be familiar with. And not multiple craft according to Flightradar..... But who honestly knows at this point.
