No one misquoted anything "as always." Neither tweet went out of its way to say those were the Congressman's own words. Same as me, they're simply surprised that those words came out of a Congressman's mouth at all, in a public forum, and that this subject is one that continues to be taken seriously by officials like him. Even if he's simply telling us what Elizondo and Grusch told him.

Speaking of, you conveniently failed to mention that he ALSO "confirmed the validity of some claims made by David Grusch during the SCIF with the ICIG" and that "it's basically true that there are compartmentalized programs being illegally concealed from Congress."

Which, in other words, tells us that Burlison trusts/is validating a lot of what Grusch is saying.

Either way, no one's trying to mislead anyone, especially seeing as we linked to both the Reddit post and the interview itself for all to read/watch.

Except that he DID actually say that. What are you talking about? Is he quoting what others told him? Sure. But those words came out of his mouth, and then in the same interview he went on to validate the person who told him those words.

= "They are phasing into our existence" having weight in the Congressman's eyes, i.e. not being *just* something he was quoting.

Context matters.

In the same way that redline248 complained about the tweets being "misleading," my point is that he was doing the exact same thing in his counter argument, by leaving out that crucial detail (that the Congressman believes Grusch to be a credible individual).

I was also pushing back on redline248's "as always" caveat, as if everything any of these tweets say is misleading, and it's all just a bunch of smoke and mirrors, which is not a true depiction either.

In other words, I wasn't taking anything "personally," I was contesting redline248's specific wording, same as he was contesting the specific wording of the tweets.

Doty is such an interesting case. Because of his former position as what was basically a disinformation agent, he was almost assuredly aware of certain things. But also because of his former position... we can't trust a damn thing he says. I go back and forth on him all the time, but there's still always just something off and a slimy about him.

He was a very bad actor in the recent past, running a disinfo campaign that ruined the life of a true believer.

And he could be honest about some things also.

Yeah, I'm aware of his history. Doesn't mean I can't listen to what he has to say now. He goes into detail about his deception in that interview. Listened to it a few years ago and found it interesting. Tucked away a few details to see what becomes of them.

He also goes into detail about the "Cash-Landrum incident" and am curious if that ever gets corroborated or refuted as more information comes out. It was a pretty long interview and he goes into detail about several things, most unprovable but a few could go one way or the other. He claims to be telling the truth now because he no longer works for the government, so any lies post-gov't would ruin him forever (not that he isn't kind of already and not that is he really in the spotlight). I don't follow him a lot, so maybe he already has done that.

I agree, but like I mentioned in my response to redstone; he has made several interesting claims post-government and if any of that information gets disproven, then everything post-gov't can and should be disregarded. So, I kind of always keep a score-sheet when I hear anything pop-up that he mentioned in that interview.

And not "basically" a disinformation agent. He was 100% a disinformation agent (well, unless he is lying about that too, lol)

I hear you, I definitely keep an open mind about him, and it's certainly interesting when he's validated from time to time.

I trust most of yall have watched Mirage Men by now.

I loved Linda Moulton Howe's appearance in that, chewing out the doc makers not to question her beliefs or disrespect her before she even hears their questions.

The end of it focuses on that question - unanswered - about whether Doty really turned towards wanting to reveal truth or is still a disinformation agent.
