It's the truth about et and their relationship with religions that might spark a crisis of sorts. We are able to sorta put the pieces together as far as the justification for the extremely maintained cover-up. They knew it back in the '40's, they know it today. Angels / Demons, of course, is the first line of thought, but the revelations of something more materialist like humans could be incorporated without much of an issue.
