That picture belonged to the actor who played Coach. Sam straightening it was a tribute to him in the finale. Ted Lasso is a ….. Coach. And of course the Sudekis/Wendt relationship mentioned earlier sealed the deal.

I very much enjoyed the episode. Nothing too surprising as most had predicted what would happen, but still very interesting to see how they played it all out. I'm very happy to see a show that appeals to the better sides of human nature rather than the worst.
It was a great show just as it is, and I'd be satisfied if they just leave it be and not try to make spin-offs from it.

I loved the parts about the team. That's always been the heart of the show and provided the best scenes by far this season. Even the Sound of Music part was over the top but enjoyable. Putting the pieces of the Believe sign back together was greatness. Glad that Sam got to score the winning goal and play for Nigeria.
Jamie and Roy's friendship was my favorite part of this season. Glad to see they ended the season in a good place and still pals. I kind of wondered if they would go the throuple route with Keeley.
I really wish we had gotten a voiceover of Trent reading part of his book. I think that's a missed opportunity to have him shadow them all year to not have some time of wrap up with his observations of the team.
The Nate stuff did not work for me at all this season nor in the finale. His comeback to the team happens off screen and without talking to Ted first? I think we needed to see some type of conversion before he's in the locker room laughing it up with the team that hated him so much 3 months ago that they basically threw a game so that they could fight.
Same with the decision for Ted to leave happening off screen. Why not show him telling Dr Sharon that he knew what he had to do or a conversion with Beard or Rebecca about how he loves Richmond but needs to be there for his boy.
As for the end with Michelle, I lean towards it strongly hinting that she dumped Dr. Unethical and that Ted and her will have a chance to get back together.
Overall, a really fun show. I will certainly rewatch S1 and 2, not sure if I will come back to S3. I'm glad that most here seemed to really enjoy it, just wasn't at the same level as the first two seasons for me.

Why did you have to post that?! I was finally over this show ending.
I had some of those same thoughts, but knew it was going to happen the closer we got to the finale. There were just too many conversations and interactions that needed to happen and not enough time left in the series. Still happy with it overall.

Oh stink, I just realized that it's not just that, but it's the whole decoy play that Jamie refused to run as well.
If the whole Death Star/Vader thing with Rupert wasn't already driven home, Rupert's outfit in the finale certainly did it.
Also, the cgi for the Stonehenge wedding was the worst CGI that I've seen in the last 20 years. Unbelievably bad.

I'll definitely have to rewatch to catch all of the Easter eggs from the entire series...but it was great seeing how they put it all together.
I was hoping there would be a payoff for Rebecca...and they nailed it. Glad she finally realized what she had in her 'Richmond' family by staying and making the fans part owners of the team...and then finding her own family with boat/pilot-guy and his daughter. Her indifference about Rupert at the end was such a great arc from when we were first introduced to her.
The Sound of Music sendoff for Ted from the team was...awesome. Perfectly in spirit with the show.
Nate getting a heart-felt moment one-on-one with Ted to apologize was perfect.
It's hard for me to hear 'Father & Son' and not think of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2...but that really was a fitting song for the montage at the end...very emotional.
Glad Roy was named manager with Beard and Nate as his assistants. Very fitting.
It felt a bit rushed at the end having to tie up so many characters. Really would have liked to see Trent reading from his book...but at least we get to see him at the signing with the finished product.

It was bad but the scene before the final game with the team lined up in the field crying….that was worse. Go rewatch that. Particularly Jaime….watch his head warp shapes. It was SO bad.
It was ATROCIOUS. I dont know how a trillion dollar company has such terrible budgeting or choice for CGI. We were cracking up at how bad it was.
Concerning Rupert.... did I miss a previous storyline that indicated he was sick/injured? He seemed somewhat feeble in the second part of the season and in the last episode even seemed to be limping at times.
In regards to the horrible CGI at Beards wedding I sorta took that as being intentional. I got the sense they were attempting to reinforce how quirky Beard is by portraying his wedding in a very fantastical manner.

Because it looked to me like it was kind of generically Stonehenge but not actual Stonehenge. I didn't see any of the flat (horizontal) stones topping any of the pillars.
Also, after reading some of the comments here, maybe it was crappy looking CGI because it was a dream sequence.
I'm going to have to rewatch the last 3 minutes in super slow motion to catch all the details they packed in there.

That was also the play that Nate originally suggested that got him promoted. Which is why Nate was called up from the bench to communicate the play in the last game.heddleston said:

Another Easter Egg I noticed was that they showed a lot of the couples from the When Harry Met Sally style episode entering the stadium in the last game.

I really enjoyed the moment between Ted and Nate. Made it even better knowing Nate wrote him a novel of an apology letter but couldn't get any words out when finally facing Ted.
Why do we think Nate left? Culture related considering Rupert's morale? Did he feel like Rupert insulted his woman by tempting Nate?

Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

It was obvious a few episodes in to this season that they were kinda botching the Nate arc. The broad strokes were there but they fast-forwarded it and skipped some steps. That's tied directly into the waste that was the Keeley-Jack plot.
Use your own judgment as to whether, or how much, that plot was a result of trying to fit in a lesbian subplot just for the sake of it.
The relative ham-handedness of the Nate arc was probably the most disappointing thing in the series, as, to me, his arc was second in importance only to Jamie's.
Still a great series despite some missteps.
