Found it interesting they didn't really tie up the Michelle or Sassy storyline. I know Ted's relationship with his son was the point but thought they would have alluded to something there.
There is nothing to tie up with Sassy, imo.
I do wonder what we were supposed to think of Michelle at the end, pretty sure she was sitting alone on the bench and not with Dr. *****

Given that the show went for feel good endings and that Ted spent the better half of 2 seasons a wreck over his relationship with Michelle, I thought they may give him a silver lining in the relationship department at the end.

Either Michelle leaving the doc or Sassy asking Ted on a date (since she said he was too much of a mess earlier in the season). I didn't really want Ted to fall back to Michelle since she was kind of horrible and they had no chemistry.
I'd like to think the show just has them having a good relationship as parents, but not together.
Like others have said, I think it would hard to get over that betrayal of getting with the marriage counselor

Great ending. Hit the right cords at every turn. Cried like a little ***** at least 4 times.

There is zero chance in hell this show does not get a spinoff. No way Apple lets this money maker fall to the side.

I saw them alluding to the end of the Dr Jacob relationship during the match, he kept making wisecracks that obviously annoyed Michelle. I think it just leaves us with the possibility, which is great in my opinion. Let us believe what we want, either way we see a great relationship with Henry and at minimum a cordial healthy relationship with Michelle.

Not just wisecracks but I think the physical distancing increased between him and the other two as the game wore on. .

And when Rebecca tried to convince Ted to stay, she said that both Henry and Michelle could move to England. I don't think she would've said that if Ted and Michelle didn't get back together.

From the 'Beard after hours' episode. The redhead took him back to her apartment, the big guy was the one that chased him and then saved him.

I think that whole thing was a "did it actually occur" thing like the whole After Hours episode.

I might be in the minority, but I think they should just change the show name to Richmond and keep going without Ted. He was right and that it was never really about him.

I don't want anymore Ted Lasso because it concluded perfectly.

One small gripe - The finale cements that Jack was a complete waste of season time. What was the point? They spent so much time on her and then she disappears. Even Shandy and Zava got some kind of mention in the finale. Just a really head scratching decision to use so much time of the final season for no reason and no payoff

Especially when so many important things happened off screen: Total Football starting to work, Nate's departure of West Ham, the team deciding Nate should come back, Ted announcing his departure to everyone, Roy and Keeley's break up, etc.

It was a pro-gay advertisement, just like Colin. Doesn't have to have a logical reason beyond teaching all us dumb bigot conservatives that "love is love". Haven't you figured that out yet?

Good show, not great show. Could have been better with about two less episodes in the season as the gay/lesbian storylines were just done to raise the DEI score. I guess the wholesome feel of it was too much for the woke crowd. After binging season 1 I was hooked. Season 2 was mostly ok. Season 3 was better minus the obvious stuff inserted to appease certain folks.

Good time to end on the high note which underscores the importance of the father's role in a child's life.

She had another moment too a little earlier when Rebecca and Sassy came out to the box for the game she tried to high five both of them and they left her hanging. It was subtle and she was in the background but it was hilarious.

There wasn't a love triangle in my opinion. She was 100% with Roy and Jamie (romantically) was in her past.

I just felt like she was the best version of her self when she was with Roy. She was accountable and made him accountable. She grew to become a more complete and confident person. After Roy she was unsure and shaky. Roy was better with Keeley as well. There is nothing wrong with needing a great partner in life, for men or women.

Overall I thought it was a very strong finale to an outstanding show. I agree with line about not naming the book after Ted leaves open a crack for a spin off.

I also think whoever pointed out all the really important moments we didn't see was spot on. I was really confused at the beginning of this episode with who knew Ted was leaving and how. I feel like they made a decision to have Roy/Keely/Jamie end ambiguous and that painted them into a corner with what to do with them this season. All they came up with was wasting time with Jack. Roy and Keely were the best versions of themselves with each other. That's how it should have ended and seeing them figure that out with Jamie on screen would have been 1000x better than what we got.

Still Richmond till we die.

That was my only big complaint about the finale. Exact same song used in the emotional final montage in Guardians vol 2 just a few years ago.

Loved the show and loved the finale. A lot of the big developments had been telegraphed for a while now but the journey to get there was a lot of fun.

Third season wasn't the tightest of stories and like others have said many important moments were told instead of shown which wasn't my favorite.

Despite the complaints, it was a very GOOD show in that the characters were good and their stories were enjoyable. Definitely my kind of tv and I'll miss the show a lot. No idea if they go for a spin off, but if they do, I'll be there watching.
