I looked at it like they're showing how pretty London can be. London has this reputation of being a dreary place.

Keely getting back with jamie
By now, the niece is in a different class/grade, and I doubt very much they are circling back to a character like that. Especially since I think it's pretty obvious that Roy still likes Keeley.

It was almost like it was Groundhogs Day until Nate finally "opened" up and asked the girl out on a date.

Roy Kent "Make it stop" every time he said a Ted Lasso joke.

Also, Jack is going to dump Keeley...we all agree on that, right?

I don't think Keeley is really gay, I think she had a drunk hook up and is just going with the flow (which is completely in character for her) but will eventually end up back with Roy or Jamie after Jack finish love bombing her and leaves her.

EDIT: to add, I get the vibe Jack is just using her. Which I think would be great to show that men (Rupert) and women (Jack) can be crappy and use people when it suits them. Regardless of orientation, people can treat each other like crap.

Judging by Barbara's facial expressions, I think Jack has done stuff like this before. Probably falls for someone, woos them, then find some one new. Just my guess.

Going with the first season theme theme of A Wrinkle in Time/Roy, is there an Easter egg in the giving of Sense and Sensibility? I don't know. I'm pretty sure I have never read the book. Or, if I have, it was over twenty years ago.

That's exactly what I was thinking. She'll get bored, Keeley will go back to boys.

Good job with getting a good gif of that… I once posted a gif of that without watching the whole thing, and unbeknownst to me, a message showed up at the end.

Rebecca has found her daughter.

Ted and his ex-wife are a thing again.

But why in the name of all that's holy do the writers of this show think that what I REALLY want to be watching is "The L Word"?

I think this was one of my least favorite episodes. With such little time left in the show, there was way too much time dedicated to Keeley and Jack. The Dr. Jacob stuff is still weird and how the show continues to gloss over how messed up that relationship is and Ted just goes with it.

I enjoyed the scenes with Ted, Beard and Henry but that was about it. The end with Jaime was a good touch too.

Roy messed up but I think him and Keeley still end up together.

For as much time as we've spent seeing the team be dysfunctional, losing and hopeless, all we get this episode is a voiceover talking about the team doing well running the new system?

Maybe I need a re-watch, but doesn't feel like an episode I would want to watch again later.

I like that Ted's "single piece of cereal" joke continues on.

Also, Mae is ruthless! lol. 'Bout to take away Prince Henry's milk.

Another rom-com reference this week. The dress that Keely bough to go watch Polo with Jack looked a lot like Julia Robert's dress from Pretty Woman when she went to watch polo.

Mae was funny, Jamie is turning into a really good dude, and the indirect joke of Nate trying to get Rupert into the Love Hounds was amazing.

Other than that, kind of a waste of an episode.

I like the subtle victim blaming by Apple.

The whole "Tonight, on a Very-Special Episode of Ted Lasso" was based on a massive iCloud leak, but of course, on AppleTV, it wasn't the iPhone that was hacked - couldn't be - he deleted the photos from his phone.

It was Jaime's email! And only because he is too stupid to pick a strong enough password.

"That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault."

Probably my least favorite episode of the season so far:

- I thought we would get more development of the total football scheme and the team bonding, instead we get a minute or so at the beginning (nice to see they're on a win streak)

- I HATE Dr. Jacob and that whole relationship. Very surprised that it is still going, that he went to visit Ted with them. At this point, it would be very weird to see Ted and his ex back together. I also don't like how Ted hasn't continued to pushback against the relationship like he did at the end of the episode earlier this season

- Nate's character development and reversal has been way too fast imo. Him trying to start the "Love Hounds" and his happiness to see Ted, Henry and Beard at the game was already there and then they feebly show him trying to act mad when Rupert texts him. Just feel like that could've been developed more before he's back to feel good Nate

- Surprised so much time has been spent on Keeley's character. I was disinterested in the PR firm storyline to start and it seems like this whole episode was focused on just her love interests and the triangle she's in? I do like how this will eventually bring her and Rebecca even closer (and as mentioned earlier, the foreshadowing of the mother/daughter relationship)

- Overall I just really want to see more development of the core storylines besides them seeming so rushed and we run out of episodes.

I will say, absolute favorite part was the "Hey Jude" melody with the three of them. Really enjoyed that moment. Also Mae is very underrated as a character, I LOL'd at her moments

Agree that this was probably the weakest episode of the series.

Hey Jude at the end and Beard's conversation with Henry was great.

Roy asking that question to Keeley was very unlike him. I get he's still in love with her, but that was just weird.

Jamie is the best character this season and it's really not close

I think this episode was about creating massive amounts of tension and then seeing how people handled it. The way Roy handled it with Keely (which made her leave) versus how Jamie handled it (which made her hug him) was telling. Just like Beard having that cool conversation with Henry when Ted was not handling the tension well.

I think Jack leaving Keely is foreshadowing of what Rupert will do once Nate sticks up for himself. I think Jack pulls out as investor of the PR firm and Keely has to shut it down and comes "home" to Richmond. I think the Nate situation wraps up similarly, West Ham begins to lose a few games as Nate leans into his real self with Jade more, causing Rupert to fire him.

Not saying it's the most realistic thing ever, but I could see Richmond jumping out to a lead against West Ham at half time and Rupert firing Nate immediately, then the big reveal is Nate coming back out after the half on Richmond's side, having come "home" as well.

Trent was wearing a college t-shirt in an episode a few weeks back. Funny story here, but I was actually hoping the connection was a little more deep than "costume designer liked the shirt."

In reference to Jamie/Keely and Beard/Henry the same can be said of Rebecca/Keely compared to Jack/Keely. Rebecca is more supportive than he supposed "love" was.

As for Nate it is interesting. I wondered if there would be some almost forced redemption by way of things falling apart. But you may be on to something with him just being his "real self" more with Jade. And that brings out just how alone he is and how he has no support system like he did at Richmond. Will be interesting to see how it plays out now.

but otherwise yeah this episode pretty much sucked.

That was pretty unspectacular.

Didn't time it, but the Keely/Jack storyline seemed to take up a good 1/3 of this episode. Which is about 1/3 to much. Ted actually invited his former therapist that is banging his ex-wife into his home? There is being a nice guy and then there is being a wimp. Ted is falling into the latter category.

And as a former professional closet case myself, Colin's behavior continues to confound me. A closeted gay man, in Colin's position, would have probably thrown punches before he just sat passively by and let a teammate scroll through his photos.

This season is like 3 good characters and just some lazy lazy writing. It reminds me of late season sopranos where every actor had to have their own story line, except whoever writes it just isn't in touch with how people, sports or the world in general works.

He might be at the point of saying, "**** it" and telling the world. However, given what the photos might have shown I'm guessing this would not have been the manner in which Collin came out to a friend and teammate.

I've been out of the closet since W was in office and if someone were to take my phone and try to look though the pics.... well, that simply would not be allowed to take place.

So we've spent the entire season with this extraneous plot of Keeley starting her own PR firm, and when there's a massive PR crisis she issues no response, passively waits for a press release from her lawyers and shows none of the professional expertise they've been telling us she has??

I've been way behind on this threat from the beginning. Full disclosure, I thought these episodes aired on Thursdays. Anyway, I have several thoughts after this episode, I don't agree at all that this was a bad one. The last two have been truly fantastic, but this one was solid in its own right.

First of all, doies anybody have a gif of Higgins running to Ted Lasso's office for the Diamond Dog's meeting? Because that was funny as hell!!!
