I grew up in a small town near Abilene with nothing but a DQ. And Abilene is Ground Zero for Taco Bueno and back then may have only had one Taco Bell in the whole town, so it was a delicacy when we had music or UIL competitions at Hardin-Simmons and went to Taco Bell across the street.

Most time I've ever spent in AUS was 2 weeks straight (my mom lives there). And I agree. I just craved good US fast food. Their Burger King burgers were ridiculously price and came with beets and a fried egg. And they all thought it was to die for. And good luck finding ketchup to eat with your fries. They typically only had this horrible horseradish mayo. I despise horseradish.
But the worst was not being able to get an iced soda. If you ordered a coke at a restaurant, it was typically just a 20oz bottle they set on the table. No ice. Couldnt even stop and get an iced drink at a convenience store. We had to buy a full 5 lb bag of ice. They all thought I was crazy. And I missed the hell out of Dr Pepper. They all said "ew. It tastes like medicine." WTF?? But you're okay with Vegemite?? Aside from the boomerang pies, Aussie food sucks.

I miss the Phoebe/Roy interactions.
I do think all the 3 sided/triangle symbolism point to this being a 3 season show. Hopefully there is a spin off with Roy/Jamie.
Also, speaking of the Apple tie ins, when Ted texts Rebecca it's green. Is that because there is no iMessage in the Netherlands or just a miss in editing?

I think it's to show her phone is off from not working due to it falling in the water. She mentions it at the end of the episode.

edit: correction they did have it right.
It should be blue text bubbles initially as it tries to send via MMS, but then when it fails that way (after maybe 2 minutes) it would resend via SMS and turn the text bubble green and future texts/gifs would be sent that way until it reconnects.
they showed the blue initially from some old messages before she dropped it in the canal (about pronouncing Ajax) and when he checked again the message about her having plans showed in green with "sent as text message" label.
It would not show a red exclamation for failing to send - that would be if it fails on his end transmitting. It would just be pending SMS messages that her device would receive whenever it reconnects to the the network.
Did know that. I assumed it wasn't foreshadowing of her getting back with non Apple user Rupert.
It was possible to find Dr Pepper in the UK import section of Coles grocery stores. The one near my house also has a South African import section that was 1 shelf wide and about five shelves high. The UK section was about 2x that and of course there was no American section.

The goal they scored against Arsenal reminded me of this.

I continue to be completely disinterested in Keeley's storyline. It seems Jack is going to be bad news and Keeley is missing all the warning signs, but every time they cut to her story right now I just wish we were on any other.
I thought it would be very hard for them to redeem Nate but I found myself giving in and invested in him again.

The way the game went against Arsenal was good, I was a little worried going into it but I should have known they would do it right.
Tonight's was easily my favorite episode of the season. This is the feeling I remember from Season 1 episodes.

Exactly, its just not a good story line. Or least, I found all of the PR firm stuff very dull and uninspired. I've started just skipping through their scenes, which is too bad because Kelley was interesting the first 2 seasons. I think Barb's look when Jack announced she and Keely were dating was interesting, like she's seen this happen before with Jack and someone she invests in. The second Keely starts pushing Jack back a bit, the PR firm will probably be done. (I get the same vibe from Jack as I did from the guy trying to recruit Sam to play in Africa last season)
It's fun watching Jamie, Roy, and even Trent all become mini-Teds this season.
The reveal of Sam's dad's name with the sign in the restaurant was really cool, fantastic job by both Sam and Ola.

Yea, and I thought at first the 'political' stuff was going to be overdone, but it really just ended up being another way to show the progress of the team's committment to Total Football in every sense of the phrase.bthotugigem05 said:
