what i didn't like about the episode (and really the whole season) is the keeley PR firm. the new characters that have been brought into the fold have not brought anything to the series and it robs us of more keeley interacting with rebecca and the club.
Reminds me of when Swindon merged with Slough. A bunch of random British Office characters that aren't as interesting as the original characters.

I could see the Keeley / Jack tryst happening from a mile away.
Honestly, I expected Keeley to make out with Rebecca already.
I think Keeley is going back to Jamie.
I'm interested in the development of Jamie at the hand of Roy.
I enjoy Ted's casual romps with Sassy.

I don't care at all about the gay player story. Will be interesting to see if Trent Crimm (great character) includes it in his book. That whole storyline seemed really unnecessary. I'm more interested in the gay guy who is a regular at the Richmond game watch parties the pub. See if he comes out or not.

This was the worst episode of the entire series but, hopefully they'll finish out the season strong.

Based on what we saw near the end of this episode (might have to re-watch to confirm), we don't know that Rebecca isn't pregnant. Would be hilarious if Sam Obisanya is the father.

And Nate - screw him but... the waitress could be a nice story.

I enjoy Keeley's PR firm, just showing how difficult it is to transition from in front of the camera to behind the camera so to speak.

How could you not? They put a gay Canadian actress, who does a weird ass accent, who played a gay astronaut/president in another Apple TV show.

It was like the guys steering planes down the runways at night.

We shall see. This is something the payoff of which would be at the end of the season.

I think the whole point of that storyline is about what Trent will do. Otherwise, I agree. It seems pointless. No one will care.

I think they have also made a point of Ted continuing to learn and adapt to the sport in England, there is a real chance he has some tactical insights as well.

I also feel like they are leading us to believe the panic attacks are starting to be related to missing out on his sons life, and feeling the pull to move back to the states more and more.

Not saying this is the only storyline I care about moving forward but it's definitely the one I care about the most.

Does Roy turn him into Richmond's version of Chelsea's Roy Kent?

A good way to tie them together would be to have Colin come out and inspire the guy at the pub to do the same.

I think they could use Trent Crimm's book as a device for it, where he talks about what a gay Richmond player went through to hide it from his teammates without revealing who it is.

How do we know one of the pub trio is gay?

We don't know. Ol' not is guessing. Probably based on him bringing a random male friend to the pub for a match, and then showing up in fancy or clothes or whatever.

I wouldn't have ever guessed it's a possibility until the other poster brought it up.

Do y'all think that we will get a pretty big time jump for the release of the book? I could see it being a post script in the finale if they don't skip ahead before that.

Pretty meh episode. Zava left without any conflict, which seemed like an odd story choice to me.

Keeley and Jack's hookup was very telegraphed. I assume Roy will want her back and she will have a big decision to make.

Is every kid a bad actor or is Ted's son especially bad? That storyline seems to be tugging him back to Kansas.

Jame-eh's storyline is the most interesting one to me, hopefully we will see his growth continue.

No, the dude that showed up wearing the West Ham colors......not a regular on the show.

Last episode is a sort of behind-the-scenes of the documentary made out of the book's story.

Character driven show is going off in so many directions that it seems to be losing focus.

Finally caught up.

Yeah, this has by far been the worst season with the writers trying to cram in too much stuff, it seems like you get only a small time with each character compared to the past seasons. There's so many side things going on that I'm invested in none.

We'll finish the season, but I hope this is the end if this is how they're going to write it, otherwise I think my wife and I are done. This season has zero replay value compared to the last two. There hasn't been an episode id want to rewatch and we've season the first 2 seasons 3-4 times.

Last episode a big ol' meh

I thought the episode was going to end with Rebecca confront Ted on a cliffhanger

I don't see how he doesn't get fired, or resign, before this season ends

Missed opportunity to not have Leslie be one of the injured monkey imitators during the Crim persuasion

Best part was the lamb ****ting all over the conf room

Final shot of the series is Ted seeing Trent's book in the store and picking it up to take home and read.

This show has ceased to be very entertaining to me.

The elements that I loved so much in season 1 are greatly diminished. The drama surrounding the team and coaches should be the focal point of the story, but anything related to soccer and team drama takes a backseat to all the peripheral interpersonal story lines.

The most interesting part of this season could have been Roy's mentorship of Jamie, but it's just an afterthought. I think they're doing a decent job with the Nate character in planting the seeds for him to be redeemed and return to the down to earth character he once was. Ted's character started the series as an ineffably optimistic dude with witty one liners and metaphors, but now he's an anxiety riddled victim of a crappy ex wife and it's not as much fun.

Oh well…

I do think it ends with them beating West Ham but losing to Man City. Too many mentions of Mont Dick and them being the white whale. Which reminds me:

I enjoyed this episode. Teds speech at the end was great.

I love this show but hope it's the last season. It had a 3 season arc to begin so hopefully they don't try to stretch it.

This show was so fresh initially that it would have been impossible to maintain that, but it's really lost a lot of what made it great and different. I'll finish it out but not with a lot of anticipation, and I'm expecting this to be the last season at this point.

Not necessarily
https://people.com/tv/ted-lasso-season-4-and-future-spin-offs-everything-the-cast-has-said/

"Although the sports-centric show was always intended to be a three-season long series, there have been conflicting answers from the Ted Lasso cast and production team regarding more seasons."

This season had a very nice start. Was enjoying and was mostly able to forget how bad last season was. Then keeley goes lesbian and Ted still loses a bunch of games and the characters mostly really aren't arcing at all.

Too much focus on everything but the team.

I prefer to think the writers are purposely putting out mediocre episodes to mimic Richmond's poor girl.

Yeah we get annoyed when they introduce new characters who don't really add anything and then they're gone soon after. Like Zava and the girl working for Keely. Focus on the core characters and story

I wouldn't say Zava didn't add anything. He's motivated Jamie to take the next step and dedicate himself to getting better and not just coasting on his natural talents.

Shandy was a waste though

I don't like how they handled Shandy, but she was a plot device to show Keeley's growth as a leader. Ted was never a "sports coach" he is the guy who develops people.

Roy's character arc has had a payoff with "she's a rainbow" scene. Jamie's is working on a big payoff. Keeley and Nate will also get their payoff.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but near the beginning when Ted showed his son the completed stadium on facetime, the kid made Ted put Nate back on the sideline with the team.

This season hasn't lived up to the first two, but still solid. Falling back on too many tropes, like the "we're picked last so let's be down until we use it as motivation". But the comparing it to sewage was a good play on it.

Question: Do British people find someone like Shandy attractive? She looks like a Jersey Shore reject.

No. That's the point.
