If such a series were to transpire I wonder if it would be Keely alone and unbraid, like Frasier going to Seattle after Cheers, or would the pull in other characters from Ted Lasso to help fill the roster. Higgins and Trent could easily move from their roles in the soccer world to one of PR.
The scene between Roy and Crimm and then the last scene were very well acted. A pleasure to watch.

I am guessing they put the 46' on the scoreboard to mess with the soccer fans who complain about the realism of the gameplay during a match. I mean just look how far out that goalie went before the goal…

Yes, this is a feel good show and because of that they're going to do some fan service and let Richmond win the whole effing thing. My season prediction is Richmond gets a third ace. They clearly planted that seed with Higgins and Rebecca talking about who else can we get. Richmond goes on an incredible run and is threatening to maybe win at all. And then trope sets in with injury, or some other 'oh noes!', where they can't use their new ace to win the championship and have to rely on belief and teamwork. Final game Danny passes to Jamie, who passes to Sam O to score the winning goal to knock off West Ham.

I enjoy the hell out of this show. Binged the first two seasons and now only two complaints.
1) waiting a week for a new episode

I think it was Roy and Trent. Not Zava. Roy yelling, I think, had Tart (or the actor) laughing.

Sorry I meant the team getting confused if Ted was talking about Zava or Trent Crimm.

This can be explained as he knew Trent would destroy Ted, whom he hated at the time.
I like the Tartt storyline, he's fully bought into the team and is helping other players, the friction from Zlatan joining will be fun to watch. The writers messing with us when Jamie made the extra pass to Sam only to have the goal come from Dani's face was fantastic.

I thought it was a nice bit of writing to have him look like he was chasing after Keeley after finding out her and Roy broke up, only for him to go check on Roy. His character arc has been phenomenal.
I suspect a bit of a regression in Jaime with Zava joining, but I also don't expect Zava to remain with the team for the full season. I imagine Jaime eventually comes to accept him, only for Zava to leave for West Ham because he hates Ted. Jaime eventually takes over as the leader and heart of the team much in the way Ted is to them by the end, and Ted sees this as the point where he is no longer needed.

Between Tartt and Torres, this team does not need another striker. They really need to find a solid defender so their goalies don't have to come to far away from the goal and get stuck in no man's land.

The next episode is called 4-5-1, so it looks like they are going to try to move Zava to the lone striker role and likely move Jaime and Torres to midfield.
Edit: Also, going back to my show predictions, I suspect that Richmond actually beats West Ham in their first match almost solely due to Zava's play. This will be the catalyst to Nate getting fired. Zava eventually leaves Richmond and joins West Ham mid season. The season finale is the rematch between West Ham and Richmond, maybe for the league title, maybe for a spot in the Champion's league.

Underrated joke from the first episode: Ted is talking in the press conference and says that press expectations are lower than a rattlesnake's belly button but his own expectations are higher than a giraffe's top hat. Hands go back up while Ted says "and if you're going to ask why the giraffe is wearing a top hat don't ask me, ask a giraffe"...and one of the guy's lowers his hand sheepishly.
The addition of Zlatan to Ted Lasso is just *CHEFS KISS*
I highly recommend TL to my Mom. She loved the first 3 episodes but then said there were just too many F bombs.

Rewatched episode 2 to prep for tonight. Zlatan's press conference at Chelsea was great because he chose Richmond but also because, after he asked the Chelsea guy if he could keep the pen, he shook the Chelsea guy's hand and posed for pictures, having successfully acquired a pen.
I thought that was a nice touch, too. The smile and handshake for the photo
Still love this show. Episode 2 was great.
Rebecca's ex-husband is a real cock-bite. It was nice to see her win one, even though it might be to the detriment of the team. Obviously Zava is going to butt heads with Ted - that should make for a great storyline. Lots of opportunity there.
