Same exact here other than Angine De Poitrine who just came across my radar a couple of months ago and I watched two full shows and they are great imo. A band I would travel to see on their own.

That Field of Vision festival will be at the same site that Billy Strings held his annual Renewal Festival in Buena Vista for a few years until he outgrew it and then had to leave the most recent one on Ringo Starr's private plane on day 1 to attend the birth of his first son.

Killer show all around.

I went and saw Mumford and Sons last night. It was shocking to me how good they were. I guess it shouldn't have been, but I was expecting them to be fairly average. Turns out they are great live. I highly recommend checking them out if they come to your area.

Got tix for their Houston show.

I've been a big fan of Olivia's career so far. Her rock influences and voice have made for stellar albums. Plus, I feel like she juts "gets it" if that makes sense. Not unlike Taylor Swift, she seems to be handling fame really well and is using her powers for good.

Ironically I just listened to the episode of Good Hang with Sarah McLachlan and they talk a lot about Lilith Fair.

Me and three other buddies entered to win free passes to the Billy Strings ACL taping tomorrow night. They are getting to play two, sixty minute sets and it will be their first show back since Billy broke his leg.

They received over 10,500 entries and it looks like we all struck out. I'm devastated. At least it will be live streamed on YouTube tomorrow evening at 8 pm.

I'll have to settle for an hour long set at Willie's 4h of July picnic on Saturday. And hopefully he'll sit in with Willie and Family on "California Sober". Sigh.

Saw Garth Brooks in Hyde Park on Saturday. Show was fantastic and I had no idea how many Europeans were so into Garth.

Politics would align nicely.

Turnpike Troubadors tonight at Dos Equis. First time seeing them.

Last night the Moody Amphitheater was evacuated twice. Two clouds passed over. Good news was it provided 82 degrees for Young the Giant's set. Bad news, it cut Cold War Kids set. Also, they now serve Lilo ritas instead of only the Tito's strawberry lemonade beverage.

Still our favorite venue. We are suffering the Moody Center for Smashing Pumpkins in October. Caught them at South Park Meadows back in '94. Always fun to see an old favorite band 30 years later.

Had friends there last night that were texting me from it saying they were getting their heads blown off. One of them commented on how much they can see how my favorite band moe. (not oh/Billy) is influenced by them.

Which just influenced me to book a trip to two nights of moe. today at Mishawaka in Colorado in August. Place looks amazing and I've heard nothing but great things about it for twenty plus years now.

And speaking of oh/Billy, they kicked ass at Willie's Picnic. The fireworks show inbetween their set and Willie's was incredilbe as well. Maybe the best 30 bucks I've ever spent (plus the $100 on twenty dollar beers).

Could have done without Sheryl Crow beating me down into oblivion in the 99 degree heat though beforehand.

It feels like a very down period for Houston right now. I have no concerts on the horizon. I went to all major venues websites and looked at their schedules and the only thing I would even be interested in would be Built To Spill.

Hoping somebody announces soon. This is the longest I've gone without a concert in a while.

Flatland and Randy Rogers are at the woodlands this weekend. AC/DC at Reliant in August. Lot of goods shows at the woodlands in August, Jack Johnson, 311, Black Crowes with Whiskey Myers.

Been a slow year for me concert-wise, not that I've minded saving the money. I may pull up to White Oak next Friday to hear The Black Keys play their lawn for free for a bit for old time's sake.

Found out that Wage War is coming to Houston at white oak. Pretty fired up by it as I've been wanting to go to a small venue metal show.

How are they live? I've been trying to see them but haven't been able to make it work yet
