Why would you subject someone to the slow death of The Simpsons?
Stop at Season 12.

By the time this series ends, will we see Arwen born to Elrond??
Galadriel is taking him to the elves...which, you know, will only take months. Wound must not be that bad.chase128 said:
Celeborn is dead? Or just disappeared? I guess he'll just show up at some point....
Also, where did Halbrand ride off to at the end?

Nori is a bad clan member. And I guess the harfoot's best trait is always sticking together, unless you have a minor mishap or mistake leading to your family being left behind.
Or if you get attacked by bees. Remember how funny that was? Haaahahahahahahaha let's make a song about it.The Collective said:Proc92 said:

They are really tight and helpful to each other, unless your wagon needs a wheel repair & then you are fooked.

just for the record, riding a horse with a big gaping wound really, really hurts.

I know I'm a broken freaking record, but this episode is really another example of why relying on characters that are very well known wasn't a great idea. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is buying that Isildur is dead. There's no tension there. Furthermore, pretty much everyone is aware of the fact that Celeborn is alive and well in the third age, so again, this whole "I never saw him again" is kinda pointless when everyone is basically saying "uh huh, so we can expect to see him at some point in the future". In contrast to that, Isildur's buddy dying? Nobody saw that coming (yet, anyway), and I honestly have no idea if Bronwyn or Arondir live to the end. There is tension there.

I'd say I'm a pretty "average" audience member, having only seen the first three movies, and literally the only character I know from the original trilogy is Galadriel. Oh, and I guess Elrond is Agent Smith, right? Either way, I have absolutely no idea who Isildur and Celeborn are in the OT, or that they were even in the OT. Hell, I don't even know who Celeborn is. And Isildur is human, right? How does he even live that long?

I kind of get what you're saying, but I don't think knowing/not knowing has the impact you are saying.Maximus_Meridius said:
Pretty good episode, probably not as good as the last one, but still solid.

She had a little Lady Macbeth vibe going there for a bit, but agree she's a lot of fun.powerbelly said:
But seriously, the harfoots continue to be the worst part of this show. And Durin's wife the best.

I didn't, but it is a pretty common "daemon" visual.OnlyForNow said:
did you ever play Ultima Online?
The Balrog looks the same as the daemons from that game.
You 100% should know Isildur because of Elrond repeatedly going "ISILDURRR, CAST IT INTO THE FIRE" lolTCTTS said:Maximus_Meridius said:

Sure, all balrogs can look the same in this show, but that doesn't mean Durin's Bane in this show has to look like Durin's Bane from Peter Jackson's version.OnlyForNow said:
But they are all balrogs.... essentially they are all the same thing...
The wolves aren't wargs, hence they are different.
