When this series ends the only ones I want to make it through are Starlight, Hughie and Kimiko. Pretty much everyone else is irredeemable to me.

I think Homelander is making a lot of personal growth this season. He's accepted his role as a father while taking on new leadership opportunities at the worlds largest corporation despite being a single dad all the while losing his father in the process.

It occurred to me that this season ended just like the last but with the kid choosing to hold a different hand to hold.

Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread but the more I think about it, the ending of Homelander's arc that makes the most sense is him surviving but losing his powers. Wouldn't him being alive but not having his superiority to feed his ego be a fate worse than death for him?

It'd be great if he ended up raising Ryan to be the same kind of sociopath that he is, loses his powers, then Ryan deems his "less than" and boom laser eyes.

I really enjoyed how they used the "family" theme in season 3. You've got Homelander who has some serious daddy issues. Then you've got Huey who came from a broken home and thought his dad was weak, but ultimately realized how strong his dad was to just keep going.

In general the nuclear family has been under attack in more ways than 1 over the past few decades. I thought they did a pretty good job of showing how important families are, even if it's a non traditional family.

They apparently have a spinoff show in development called The Boys Presents: Varsity. Here is the description
"Young adult Supes are tested in The Hunger Games-style challenges at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, run by Vought International"

With some apparent crossovers planned with the main show cast.

Butcher with his family issues, MM with his, definitely a recurring theme that I think they do a great job of portraying all aspects of.

Isn't that the one with Schwarzenegger's son in it?

I missed it the first time I watched, but in the last scene, the guy that first cheers for Homelander after he zaps the heckler…is that the same guy that's with MM's ex-wife? The one MM punched before that.

She didn't go crazy with it but I don't thing Erin Moriarty should have had any plastic surgery.

3. There's a season 4 and the way homelander drives this series while growing (more unhinged) as a character, I can't imagine him dying. He's really leaning into the business side of things, so maybe he kills soldier boy but loses his power and turns into a Stan Edgar figure. Or maybe he just takes TempV everyday to maintain his powers. Have no idea but it seems a little odd that they're showing him caring so much about the business side even mentioning the EBITDA to starlight when it caused him to lose his **** earlier in the show. Maybe he took Stan's words to heart about what true power is.

He thinks he's better at everything than everyone but he has no clue what EBITDA even is and it makes him angry to feel stupid. He then regurgitated it in Starlights face to feel superior to her and make others think he knows what he's talking about….when he clearly doesn't.

Something looks wrong with her eyebrows as well, I thought at first maybe we had just not seen her without makeup before or something

I love this show and how over the top it is. The swipes at Disney, marvel, cable news, the military industrial complex just all great

But I'm gonna sit over here and wait for the posts complaining about the "this show is libtard anti-maga crap" posts.

I've watched all 3 seasons over the last couple of weeks and read the season threads afterwards and YOU are the only one talking about the politics and mocking the right in every seasons thread. It is almost as comical as this show.

Just caught up and I absolutely love this show. Haven't read this seasons thread yet.

I am impressed by the acting in this show. Homelander is amazing. He plays frustration so well. MM is great as well. I REALLY like Frenchy. It is impossible not to root for him. Butcher plays a right **** perfectly.

Deep getting blow jobs from octopus is just too much. Over the top absurd and absolutely hilarious. When I read the warning on that episode I thought he was gonna be banging a dolphin. NOPE.

I am pretty sure it was episode 6, but it was just an amazing episode of TV. Left me on the edge of my seat and caused me to stay up to watch the rest of the episodes.

The woke wonderland was hilarious and the whole brave Maeve was too much. Everything Vought did was hilarious. They threw in little things here and there like kimiko eating a brave Maeve rainbow pop at the hospital.

This show has Southpark levels of dgaf as they dog on everyone. It makes it amazing. The left vs right in the background at all times just adds to the hilarity.

I am not familiar with the comics whatsoever, but when season 2 started and they introduced a character named stormfront, i was like.......do these people know what stormfront actually is? Answer was a resounding yes.

Also I thought for sure the girl who broke out of the mental hospital would make a return appearance at some point and she didn't.

So I'm assuming the congresswoman will make VP so the boys are going to have to go against the secret service? Do you think they move their sights from homelander at all? Butcher did save Ryan at the end and that seems to be all himelander cares about so maybe he will ease off. Thoughts?

Anthony Starr deserves every award he can be nominated for, for his portrayal of Homelander. He's taken it to another level this year.

One thing I enjoy is his pre-verbal facial grimacing. When hearing something he doesn't like.

My hope is that after that look someone gets a laser to the face.

Lol how about for the closing scene of the season.

I'm pretty sure he actually pronounced it wrong as well. I thought that was pretty good.

Binged this show the past couple weeks. Very entertaining.

Erin Moriarty's plastic surgery was distracting. Why the hell would a girl that cute, in the middle of the biggest rock of her career, go under the knife like that? Tragic.
