I didn't say she did in this movie. Just saying it's not out of the realm of possibility for her character (Catwoman) to be able to. Reading comprehension helps. Thank you for playing as well.
Seeing as how soundly he beat her, I would say it is not in the realm of possibility she could.

I know I've had my fair share of dumb arguments, but this one is up there. Who even cares?

If she landed a hit or she didn't, not much would change either way. Weird thing to be upset about.

Just saw the movie again. So good. Can't wait to see any deleted scenes.

Everything I liked really held up in the second viewing. I thought the Gotham Square Garden scene wasn't as rushed as I originally thought, and the Joker scene (while still not necessary) played better when I knew the intention.

Also got a sweet new cup

My son loved the movie but is still pissed he didn't get a souvenier cup or popcorn holder, lol. Apparently some theaters had popcorn holders shaped like his cowl.

Yeah I think it was AMC, or at least that's where I saw it the first time. I got this cup at Cinemark. The popcorn holder was $26, if that makes a difference. I didn't want to fork that up.

Thoughts on Bryan Cranston as Mr. Freeze?

I'm sure someone like Reeves could prove me wrong, but I just can't envision how Mr. Freeze could be done in a movie that's not hokey like the 90's version. I personally have no interest in him on screen.

It's def hard to imagine but I'm sure he could do it. And I would love to see his take on how the character would work in this universe. I mean Riddler went from this:

To this:

Like plenty have said, Freeze is an incredible villain and deserves redemption

So I'll backtrack a little bit and say that I'd love for Reeves to prove me wrong and do a bad-ass "realistic" Freeze. Freeze is great as a villian. I just want this Batman to stay as grounded in reality as possible, while still considering its comic book based. For me, even Nolan's Bane was a stretching the "reality" of that world as far as it could be stretched.

Yeah, $26 is a lot....but my son would have peer pressured me into it and I'd would have had to apologize to the wife later at home.

Yeah the cup was $12 and that elicited an eye roll from my wife. Not sure what $26 would have done, especially considering I paid $30 to go see it last Tuesday.

only issue i had was Catwoman being able to pick up the money bag while driving the motorcycle.. That would be way too heavy for her to sling over her head and onto her back...
That bothered you but not Batman getting shot point blank with rifles and not getting knocked on his rear?
Well, i mean he has a batsuit.... she weighs no more than 100 pounds... She made it look effortless.

And? It's a comic book movie and Catwoman has shown pretty large feats of ability of strength and fighting. Kind of like the previous poster who was so glad Catwoman couldn't land a punch on Batman. Why? It's not out of the realm of possibility for her character. She was able to lift him to safety, even in the full bat suit. People need to get over themselves.
I think a lot of people, myself included, are tired of seeing women heroes get over on their male counterparts.

It's cool when it happens sometimes, but it has happened so much the last several years that it is now unexpected when the man holds his own.

Well, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, or so I've been told.

Only issue I had was them trying to sell me that Selina Kyle was wearing plain white granny panties underneath her skirt while working as a bartender. Not a chance in hell.

Can't Fight City Halloween from the soundtrack is a complete banger and the criminals watching the shadows in fear of Batman is a top ten all time Batman movie moment

I just picture Batman walking around menacingly with the bells from that song going off

The soundtrack has been on infinite loop in my car for the last two weeks.

One of the reasons we need a rated R cut of this movie.

One thought that went through my head was "Yeah, that's not how that works" when Falcone was using a cane or some similar object to try to crush Catwoman's throat. And when she was able to get out from under him, she proceeded to kick his ass. Uh huh.

I mean some cliches are in every movie. People falling and able to hold onto the edge of the railing as they drop.

People pulling other people up when they're hanging like dead weight.

When we were watching The Batman, I told my wife - if there's ever a situation where anyone weighing more than 50 pounds needs me to pull them up like that, they're going to be dead.

Yeah, like John McClain falling down the elevator shaft and grabbing a ledge by his fingertips.

I know the opening of the movie has been discussed, but I'm just sitting here listening to Can't Fight City Halloween and its just making me think again on how perfect of an opening sequence this was. One of the best I can remember, ever.

It introduces our character, the setting, the conflict, sets the mood for the entire movie, and instantly hooks you. All in the first 5 minutes. ****ing brilliant.

i'd move score up to "in the bag", it was just incredible.

i wonder if the early release will hurt it though

I've been wondering if the score won't get DQed because so much of it is drawn from other existing music, and I know the Oscars has rules about that. The riddler theme is just straight up Ave Maria and then part of The Batman theme is drawn from Nirvana.
AgfromHOU

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Riddler's theme sounded like an eerie version of Ave Maria.

I heard a lot of Batman '66, Batman '89/Returns, Batman the Animated Series, and even Batman Forever in the music

I do find it funny how Batman's theme/motif in both TDK trilogy and this movie, is just two notes.

In fact it's almost the same two notes in reverse.

Fun Easter egg:

The convenience store at the beginning is called Good Times, and the robber is wearing the same hoodie/puffer jacket combo as Rob is in Good Time

With all the talk of how good the score is, did anyone pick up this vinyl from Mondo?

https://mondoshop.com/products/the-batman-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-3xlp

I really wanted the marbled Mondo exclusive, so I'll probably wait to get it off Discogs or whenever they re-release. Not coming out til August which sucks, but will be perfect to fire up for Halloween.

I got one in my cart right when it opened up at noon yesterday and then when I tried to complete the purchase it told me it was sold out. Very bummed about that, but still ended up getting the solid color version because I can't pass up owning it. Will go well with my Stranger Things records around Halloween.

i'll admit to not knowing the Oscars' rules very well, but wasn't Inception's score nominated? it was also drawn off existing music, right?
