If you zoom in and take the hair out. She's got some Brie Larson going on too.

Poor Elsa was definitely getting mixed messages from her Mom.

Just follow your heart!

Why did you sleep with him???
Lol. I said the same thing to my wife. She basically green-lit the sex imo.

"I envy you." "Follow your heart."

Are we going to talk about sex?

"We just did."

Then afterward, she's like, "I'm not raising your kid,"

Sounds like most WT women who don't know how to parent.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART! until he jizzes in your guts and I have to care for that baby because you're 16 and don't even know how to do your own laundry.

To be fair, I'm sure the mom didn't expect her daughter to that very night wrangle down a cowboy and make the beast with two backs with the entire camp listening in.

Well she also made sure she bathed first. Just like momma when she reunited with dad. She damn near *****d her out.

If they keep skipping weeks and having this erratic schedule, I'll lose interest quicker than I normally would. Does anyone know why they keep just randomly skipping weeks?

NFL Playoffs on this past Sunday?

It's a streaming show. Network TV shouldn't matter. If you're worried about competition, put it on a cable network.

But they aired it during super Wild Card weekend which had even more playoff games? Like mazzag said, it's streaming so it can be watched at any time and isn't competing with the playoffs.

My guess is they are trying to stretch it out in order to get people to subscribe beyond just a month or two. Not sure what/when Paramount's next major show release is, though.

My guess is they premiered the show earlier than normal ( meaning they didn't have enough episodes complete) to try and capitalize on airing it with Yellowstone on the Paramount network. So they are having to stretch out the time between episodes to make sure they can finish post-production on some of the last episodes.

They are literally still filming right now. It wraps this month.

EDIT - well they may have wrapped now. Unclear. But 6 days ago Tim and Faith finished and posted about it. Not sure if other scenes are still in the works.

"One of the last nights on set ... Bittersweet," McGraw writes. Hill would share his photo on her Instagram Story later.

Can anyone recommend a good history book on these wagon trains to the west? I have become intrigued by the actual logistics of these attempts (even to the point of amateur critique of what I have seen on this show*) and would like to learn more.

Any direction is appreciated. I do prefer actual history over historical novels, though.

*Like...why not ferry experience wagon handlers back across the Brazos instead of letting rookies try the crossing.

I think I posted it in this thread earlier but this is my standard answer for this question:

Wagons West by Frank McLynn. It's excellent.

Beware! There is a historical fiction series with the same main title…make sure you avoid those.

Outstanding scene. This show is so good even though you can nitpick on little things like the immigrant's shotgun clearly looking post 1800s.

The gypsy walking around with sleaveless tops every day is another one. And not a tan line on her. Lol.

But again, love the show. I'd rather look at a beautiful woman than an ugly one.

I actually wonder about that. I have known women who have had periods early on in their pregnancy so they didn't realize they were pregnant for quite a while. Would make for a good plot twist…

I'm not sure she was really on her period. It looked to me like she just used that as an excuse to go visit the cowboy's grave. I could certainly be wrong though.

I'm not sure that was her boyfriend's grave. She was in the wagon as it was bouncing along, indicating that they had traveled some distance. Then when she gets out....she said something like there are constant reminders (perhaps the graves) that death is all around us...plus the crosses looked pretty weathered....I thought they were just random graves, but I could be wrong.

No real person would say that. Even to joke.
