In retrospect, the protros in silver and maroon would be really hard to wear. Cool, regardless, though they are not TMFP anymore for me.

I already have some white AF1 with maroon, but I might be after the maroon AF1s.

Same. I used to have a decent collection of samples, and I remember all of them - at least Nike - were defaulted to size 9.

Interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that. Don't know how long its been since I've worn a size 9, but it was at least middle school, if not earlier.

Americana Pipedream sells a bunch of military surplus good from all sorts of countries. They recently got a big shipment from Afghanistan that had a bunch of new stock Servis Cheetahs (along with some unusual pro-USA 9/11 peace prayer rugs).



Servis is a Pakistani brand that released the Cheetah line in the 80's and became pretty popular with everyone including insurgents and the Mujahideen. Then with the War in Afghanistan, the Taliban ordered a bunch of their military forces because they were cheap, comfortable, held up well to abuse, and gave a more uniform appearance. They quickly synonymous with the Taliban and a low key way to signal your allegiance.

Now you can buy a brand new pair for only $99 and avoid cheap knockoffs or any import tariffs. Not gonna lie, I actually like the look of them. It's probably because they haven't changed the design since they were released. As I understand it, they fit very similarly to AF1s
