I imagine Aber Ravenwood looking like Archangel from Airwolf

Who bears a passing resemblance to the white hat guy that Dr. Jones reclaims the Cross of Coronado from in the opening sequence of The Last Crusade.

I have always imagined Mr. Feeney, but an archeologist instead of high school teacher.

At the absolute latest, this would put it online a few days before the Avatar 2 release on 12/16. Though, we could be getting it even sooner, maybe as early as Thanksgiving…

(James Mangold is the writer/director.)

Friday, 10 AM Central. Likely the first real stills from the movie, info on the plot, etc. Though, the title apparently won't be revealed until the trailer releases here in the next two or three weeks.

Terrible title and I haven't even watched the trailer yet, but it's finally here!

This looks so damn fun, and so much more massive than any Indy film prior. Holy crap.

Again, I'm going to have to get used to that title ("Dial of Destiny" is rumored to allude to some kind of time travel device), but as long as the movie itself is great, who cares.

All I know is that I can't wait.

Young(er) Indy looks incredible. De-aging software is getting closer and closer. This is from the opening sequence, which takes place back in the '40s, and centers around a Nazi castle (information that has been officially/publicly discussed by Lucasfilm)...

Seeing Sallah back made me smile.

I will be watching in the theater with reserved expectations. I want it to be good, so badly. Perhaps it's the nostalgia for the originals, but I wish they would have made it grainier and go back to the shadows of Raiders. It just looks like a big action movie, but I didn't see any of the charm I remember from the original trilogy in the way it looks to be filmed.

Hope they do.

Just sent this to my dad. He loves the original.

Yep. Rumored to be his last movie score.

It looks okay… I'll be cautiously hopeful and, who am I kidding, will definitely see this in theaters, but this first trailer didn't blow me away.

It feels a bit odd seeing someone as old as Harrison Ford leaping between cars and doing all these stunts.
Thanks and gig'em

The slowed-down crescendo of the Raiders March is the pick me up I've been needing for the last few days. WOW.

My dad had surgery on his back that has him unable to drive for 5 weeks. Looking forward to sharing this with him and going to see it with him next summer. Like the Star wars Episode films, I've seen all of the Indy movies with him and my brother dating back to '81.

Just watched the trailer. The Raiders theme played slowly, wow, brought a big smile. I cannot wait.

The title at first glance is kinda a huh reaction, but upon consideration, it feels to be par for the course with Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and even the overly wordy Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

So it's Indiana Endgame?

Time travel back to all the highlights of the previous movies?

What if he travels forward in time to where he's the new Thunderbolt Ross?
TCTTS

Rumors of actual time travel have died down quite a bit. When the set pics dropped of a to-be-de-aged Indy, a lot of people assumed that meant time travel. But Mangold and Kathleen Kennedy have since confirmed that nope, the de-aged stuff is simply for the opening sequence, which takes place in the '40s.

That said, there's definitely a time travel element at play, it just sounds more like there's a MacGuffin that perhaps makes time travel possible, and maybe we even get a glimpse of its powers, but that the story itself isn't going full Endgame and actually jumping around in time as part of the plot. Who knows for sure, though...

I get that (according to the movies) 1940s Europe was just one secret Nazi castle after another, but how many could he get tied up in? So assuming that's from Last Crusade, hopefully he hasn't returned because he remembered seeing the mind stone behind one of the tapestries.

Old Harrison was basically the only good thing about the new Star Wars movies. Hopefully this takes that magic and does something with it.
