yes, what you wrote does sound stupid. But that's not my question. My question is simply, is TC a paid poster on this board? Seems to me it's the same as creating a trailer for a film or a teamster for a band. It's just advertising for a company or a film. Does TC participate in such activity? It doesn't discount his opinions, only provides context for his presence.

The answer is no. Why on earth would Disney pay someone like to me post on a message board like this?

As for your other random ass questions, I've never paid much attention to '80s horror and I have no clue who Fred Olen Ray is.

A) I love watching great movies, and talking about them in the lead up.

B) James Mangold is one of my favorite directors.

C) Because Crystal Skull was so bad, most people assumed this one would be too. But when the signs started mounting that it might actually be good, I figured it was worth noting.

Is this a suffice enough answer for you?
nope, you didn't answer the question. Do you get paid to post here and attempt to drive up hype? Have you ever in the past been paid to do so? It's a simple question. Also, what is your favorite 80's horror and do you like Fred Olen Ray movies?

Kathleen got her feelings hurt because the board was mean and has had TC solely locked in to get the hypes of Aggie's far and wide hyped up for her movies and shows

It doesn't have to be disney. Just a subsidiary. But thanks for answering. The hype was a bit unreal from you lol. Also, that's a shame. You're missing out. I highly recommend Fred Olen Ray's Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers. or Evil Toons, that movie rules too.

KENNEDY: "But also talk sh*t about me from time to time, and complain about The Mandalorian a ton, just so there aren't any suspicions."

ME: "Yes, ma'am! They'll never suspect a thing!"

I think everyone who posts here loves movies, but the way you go about it is different, I'd say. I mean, it took you like 5 minutes to respond. Do you get alerts or something? lol

He literally works in Hollywood. Movies are his way of life.

All of us have something, most on this website are overly passionate about Aggie football. It's no different.

I feel ya. Just seems strange to me. It's like a bat signal if he is mentioned. Dude flies into the conversation as if summoned. It's kind of funny.

I think it's just that he regularly checks threads and if he sees his name he responds. He does have an active watch list if he has stars

I work from home and am in front of a computer most of the day. Either on my desktop in my office or on my laptop in another part of the house. When I'm not on Zooms, I'm either reading scripts, reading articles we're thinking about adapting, listening to podcasts we're thinking about adapting, typing up notes, or making pitch decks. I also have Twitter and TexAgs open on my browsers 24/7. And every half hour or so, between reading/notes/deck-making, I check them, in order to keep up with the news or take a quick little break. Sometimes I happen to catch a post directed at me and I respond immediately, sometimes I get caught up in a pitch deck and don't check or respond to TexAgs for hours. It all depends, and you can find plenty examples of both.

This is the other thing, which I assumed was common knowledge, but I guess not. Like anyone who pays for stars, I have a little blue notification number at the top right of the site that shows when a thread I've participated in has new activity. I can then click on it, go directly to whatever posts I've missed or see exactly who's responded to me.

Do we have anything to talk about here, oh, I don't know, perhaps about an aging leather coat wearing, bullwhip toting, Nazi hunting archaeologist? This thread blew up with several posts since I last looked and came here to find folks yapping at another poster.

Of all the trailers that played with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 tonight... including Dune: Part Two, The Little Mermaid, Oppenheimer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts... the latest Indy trailer was the last to play and absolutely brought the house down. When the title came up at the end, the crowd just went nuts, which was the last thing I would have ever expected. Granted, it's just one theater's reaction, and a big, Hollywood crowd at that, but still. I just didn't think the passion was still there, like it once was, but it seems I was wrong.

Well that looks ....... fantastic!

I was hearing a modified rendition of some of JW's earlier music in this series, perhaps "The Basket Case" from Raiders.

Yes, more Indiana Jones.

June is going to be Indiana Jones month for me. The local Cinemark will have Raiders of the Lost Ark on June 4, the day after my birthday. My wife got us tickets despite that she is not a huge movie nut and that we have watched more times than we can count. No rule 1 here but I obviously have a great wife. Then I will be taking June 30 off to see the Disl of Destiny at tge earliest showing.

That's just quintessential Indiana Jones chase footage right there. Bodes well

I'm a little turned off by how much CGI/green screen it utilizes - Spielberg's chases looked much more practical - but overall I agree that the action itself and the vibe/tone feels spot on.

I loved the Indiana Jones movies when they came out in the 80s. I think Harrison Ford is a fantastic actor. But, he is just way too old at 81 for this to be even remotely believable, even by Hollywood standards.

Guess I was thinking more the feel, vibe, pacing of it all. The movie could still end up sucking, but I'm at least interested. Even as bad as the last movie was, I'm always seeing a Indiana Jones or Star Wars movie that releases.

Reminder that the world/Cannes Film Festival premiere is tomorrow in France at "19h00." Which, if my calculations are correct, is 7 PM local time / 11 AM Central here in the states. With a 2h 34m runtime, assuming the premiere starts on time, that would put reactions dropping a little after 1:30 PM Central. I'm going to be out and about around then, so someone else might have to post them, but if not, I'll round them up and post when I have the chance, which shouldn't be too long after.
