Beginning tomorrow, and ending on Sunday, three of my all-time favorite series - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Succession, and Barry, each of which I started watching in 2018 - after five years, will air their series finales within three days of each other. Kind of crazy, considering I'll also be traveling for the holiday weekend. The TV landscape just won't be the same without them, especially with nothing on the horizon that looks to fill any of the massive gaps they'll be leaving. Hopefully, though, some new, zeitgeisty prestige series will emerge in the next year or two…

Was listening to the Oysters Clams and Cockles podcast on the Succession finale, and they pointed out what an insane run HBO has been on ever since last year.
That's gotta be an all-timer run of prestige dramas. All fantastic shows.
Granted, it looks like they're about to snap that streak in short order with the post above.

(And Just Like That is technically Max, not HBO. But The Idol *is* HBO, and yeah, will definitely break the streak.)
I did see today that Kim Cattrall is going to do at least one guest appearance on that show, so that should be fun.
So this whole Idol thing is fascinating to me.
