Wow count me as intrigued. Anything gangster related I'm in but a GF making of.... hell yeah. And from what I'm reading it is from Albert Ruddy's never before told experiences. Not sure what the source is exactly like did he write it or just work with someone on this script?

I'm of two minds. There's a movie version of basically this same behind-the-scenes story also in development, with Oscar Isaac as Coppola, also starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Elle Fanning, and the script is INCREDIBLE. It comes at it from a slightly different angle, with Coppola as the main character, and I cannot emphasize enough how fun/good it is, with dialogue that absolutely sings. So, while this does indeed look good, I can only see it in comparison to the other version, which I think would have been so much better, but I'm worried might not get made now because of this version.

Thank you, i could've sworn I had heard about another version of this story.

Is it me or does this kinda thing seem to be happening more often? (Two versions of the exact same story.)

We got two movies for Steve Jobs, two Fyre Fest docs, two Britney Spears docs, there's a Joe Exotic drama now I'm seeing advertised, and there's a bunch of others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Definitely happening more often, especially now with streaming and studios so desperate for "brand" name content. I don't know how all of the latest examples you mentioned came to be, but it's super weird. There were also I think THREE versions of the Elizabeth Holmes story in development at one time as well, but The Dropout, with Amanda Seyfried, beat the other two to the punch this month in the form of a limited series. One of them was/is a movie from Adam McKay, starring Jennifer Lawrence. I assume that one's not happening now, but who knows.
