I've heard the first season is incredible - I felt like everyone I knew was watching it back then and raving about it - but I guess it dropped off big time after that because people really seem to dislike it now. Curious to hear from anyone here who's caught up, though.

No doubt. One of my all-time favorite shows. I wasn't as high on the second half of season three when it first came out, but I just rewatched the S3 finale two nights ago to refresh and loved it. So ready to finally have this show back.

I thought the episode with her and Lenny Bruce in Miami was absolutely incredible. The actor that plays him is phenomenal.

It'll be interesting to see how they go about weaving the story. It's a bunch of Mormon history interwoven with the murder in modern times and a commentary on the FLDS church. It wasn't entirely well-received by the LDS church and I wonder if they've changed up some of the themes to avoid those points of disagreement.

Exactly. Directors want to complain about Marvel and Star Wars movies and that there's no originality in Hollywood anymore because of those franchises. But you can say that about most of what Hollywood does, these movies/shows you just listed for example.

None of these movies are original, they're just copying what Fincher did with The Social Network. "Oh what silicon Valley success and/or crash and burn can we make a movie out of now?"

I may be in the minority but I've only heard of two of those you listed and I couldn't care less about watching a movie/show about any of them.
I enjoyed the HBO doc on Theranos, so I'm interested to see the story play out in a miniseries format as well.
