Guess I'll be getting Hulu now, as all of these look fantastic.
For the record, seeing as Disney now owns Fox, and Disney also now owns Hulu, here's how Hulu will work, in terms of television, beginning in March...
- There will continue to be original Hulu shows (like The Handmaid's Tale and High Fidelity, the trailer for which is above).
- There will be FX shows that are ONLY on Hulu and NOT on the FX cable channel (like Devs and Mrs. America above).
- There will be FX shows that first air on the FX cable channel and then make their way to Hulu the day after each episode airs (like Fargo above and Atlanta, for example).
- Come March, the FX app will cease to exist, and all past FX content will be moved to Hulu as well.
Somewhat complicated, I know, but with the streaming arms race taking place at the exact same time one massive corporation swallows the other, these are some of the complications that are going to arise for the time being. Though, I'm a little confused as to why Devs and Mrs. America aren't just airing on FX as well, but whatever.
