A movie that comes out on, say, HBO Max, the same day it's released in theaters, is a "day-and-date" release. It's a stupid, non-informative term, I know, but for some reason it caught on as the de facto term for releases that hit streaming and theaters on the exact same day.

I suspected that is what they meant but I wasn't sure how the words "day and date" would obviously mean theatrical and home simultaneous release.
