While I get that Memorial Day makes a whole helluva lot more sense for a movie like Top Gun, this still totally sucks that this movie is now coming out two full years after it was supposed to.

Well, Halloween Kills is pretty much locked unless they want to bump it an entire year to 2022. I mean, it kinda has to be released in the month of October....Brian Earl Spilner said:
And they better not move Bond or Halloween Kills again.
I'm done with this bs.

First of all, I can't believe this isn't a spoof trailer, because it really does seem that impossibly stupid that it's been made.TCTTS said:

I liked Day After Tomorrow and 2012 as mindless entertainment and if I see them on I will put them on in the background. This one looks about the same so I'm in.
Looks like they meet with a terrible fate.TCTTS said:

Did the makers of this movie not see Geostorm? Or Greenland? Or any of those other recent "end of the world" disaster movies also starring Gerard Butler?
I mean, Geostorm has this same ridiculous look....and it was written and directed by Roland Emmerich's partner Dean Devlin! Those two worked together on so many movies, and have now made movies with similar premises.
Also, that tagline "In 2022.....the Moon will come to us!" sounds like an old Yakov Smirnoff joke. "In Soviet Russia....Moon comes to you!"

Roland E is the definition of guilty pleasure director. His movies (other than the Patriot) are all bad but I can't help but watch them if they come on TV.
