Indeed.
CinemaCon begins next week in Vegas, where the major studios debut tons of new trailers for theaters owners and press, essentially serving as the unofficial kickoff to "blockbuster trailer season." Maybe three or four of those trailers will drop online at the same time, but probably not the biggest ones, as most will be exclusive to CinemaCon, at least for the time being (though we'll get descriptions of everything from attendees).
That said, with Thunderbolts* releasing a month later, kicking off the summer movie season, I would expect the biggest of those trailers to release online closer to May 2, though some could drop a couple weeks early. With that in mind, here's what I'm guessing we'll potentially see at some point between next week and May 2...
- 28 Years Later - Full Trailer
- Avatar: Fire and Ash - Teaser Trailer
- The Fantastic Four: First Steps - Full Trailer
- Jurassic World Rebirth - Trailer 2
- Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning - Full Trailer
- Superman - Full Trailer
- TRON: Ares - Teaser Trailer
- Weapons - Teaser Trailer
... along with whatever else the studios decide to drop.
And just FYI, for those who care, here's next week's CinemaCon schedule...
3/31 = Sony Pictures
4/01 = Lionsgate, Warner Bros
4/02 = Universal Pictures, Amazon Studios
4/03 = Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures
The studios also sometimes make release date and even casting announcements at their panels, so those can be fun to follow on social media. It's basically Comic-Con, but for all movies/genres, and from my understanding you have to either work for a theater chain in an executive capacity or attain a press pass to attend.
