Full disclosure: the Narnia books are my favorite series of all time and I had my hopes up for this film and series, as it's the first time someone has secured the rights to the entire series. I don't necessarily care one way or the other about this one decision (Streep is incredible), it does my me more suspicious that Netflix might take too many liberties for my taste and Netflix it up.
