Putty Tang.

Was working at a movie theater, back before new releases on Thursday nights. Pre digital, still used film rolls. New movies got screened at night by employees to ensure everything worked.

Movie came out the same weekend as the Mark Wahlberg Planet of the Apes. Me and a buddy were the sacrificial pigs to watch Putty Tang. About 10-15 minutes in, I had to "go to the bathroom". I ducked out on him and went to watch Planet of the Apes.

Side note, that was one theater we hardly had to clean for about 2 weeks. Not even the blacks went to that movie.
ummm

Ha ha ha.

I don't think I've walked out. I have fallen asleep because I found a movie so terrible. Those would be Batman and Robin and LOTR (it just never ended).

Never left personally, but during the South Park movie there is a scene where people leave the theatre as the boys watch the Terrance and Phillip movie. People started leaving our theatre during that scene too. I was there with my 3 best friends, so it was a great moment that just made us laugh even more.

Left about 80% through The American with George Clooney. I just didn't care what happened in the end.

I was really close to leaving after the Space Leia scene in The Last Jedi. It's a huge movie regret that I didn't have the stones to do that.

Being John Malkovich
Also Inception, but that's because we had to go pick up family at the airport.

In the VHS days, returned U-Turn without finishing it.

Nope, but heavily considered two times:

Natural Born Killers. Was in a group of about eight. We all wanted to but no one would take the initiative.

V for Vendetta. Hated every aspect of that film. Still don't know why I stayed.
My future bride and I walked out of NBK. Sadly, we went to the car and it had been broken into, stereo stolen.

I also walked out of a movie that was called Castaways in Space or something like that. It was Disney-Movie-of-the-Week cheesy. It was out the same year Labyrinth came out. I walked out of the aforementioned space movie and walked into the screen that was showing Labyrinth and I'm glad I did. It was my first taste of Jennifer Connelly, and it was the right move for sure.

Took my Mom to see Blade when I was 13. She made us leave within 5 minutes because of the blood shower scene. I think we went to "The Avengers" instead, not a good replacement. On a side note, we went to see Something About Mary a month earlier, and I wanted to walk out. Not a comfortable movie to see with your Mom, especially when you are 13.

Walked out of Go in 1999. It was a terrible movie but my girl friend was getting handsy anyway.

Walked out of Natural Born Killers and went and played in the arcade. Went with my cousins, they stayed and finished but said I made the right call.

Kind of wish I had walked out of The Happening but it was so terrible, I was mesmerized.

Robin Hood with Russell Crowe.

I walked out of a slasher type film, I think it was called Don't answer the phone about 1980. Just too violent against women.

I also walked out of the George Lopez show in San Antonio. Got tired of his Republicans are bad rants.

I've walked out of many movies and even some Broadway shows that I wasn't enjoying. I bought a ticket to be entertained and if I am not, then I am not obligated to give up more of my time for crappy shows. I'm at a theater not a jail cell.

And I stop watching TV series when they start to suck, Walking Dead I'm looking at you.

I don't understand the need that people have to sit through things they aren't enjoying. If it is so bad you even think about walking, trust me, it won't get better.

Two Towers. Not because I wanted to but because the people we had driven with had madenother plans for like 2.5 hours after the movie started, not realizing how long the movie was. Pissed me off.

Only other one I can think of was the chamber. Was with one of my friends and the racism was just too much for him, so we left.

I don't think she's ugly but she's not exactly my idea of perfection either. I think "boring" is much less debatable. It's like non stop.
Corporal Punishment

Fair enough. Since the storyline didn't pull me in I found the action scenes uninteresting.

Went back and looked at the female leads photos from the flick. The whole Euro-skank look doesn't do anything for me.
Bruce Almighty

5th Element was a great idea executed very poorly. It had the potential to be an all time great sci-fi movie and instead we got decent but forgettable. That's also how I felt about Stargate, though the tv show ended up being good.

Wife and I also walked out of an opera in Rudder during an intermission. I think we were given the tickets, though.

Popeye staring Robin Williams. I couldn't wait to see the movie and at some point turned to my mom and asked if she'd be mad if we left.

My sister owned Titanic on 2 VHS tapes. When the first tape finished I didn't bother inserting the 2nd. Does that count?

Much more willing to leave a show if the tickets are free.

I'm pretty sure that would end my friendship with someone if they did that to me during that movie lol.

I walked out of Mission Impossible: Fallout with about 30 minutes left in the movie. In my defense, it had been more than two hours and the movie had been hyped as the greatest action film of all time. I'm not even sure it was the best of the MI series. I left and just assumed the nukes went off and they all died. Made for a more entertaining ending than the real one, I'm sure.
