I'm seeing way more negative and so-so reactions than I did for the TLJ premiere.

Yes. I strangely agree with all of that. Beginning was weird, then it got better, then I too was fighting back tears for the rest. Crazy to know this was the end, but overall I think they got it right.

Well seems like from just the VERY early tweets is that maybe it over reached a bit ? Too much to correct maybe? I loved the TLJ but there were lots of those linked tweets that felt TROS was too much.
The ending of this just had to be really hard. Not apologizing for it but how to make everyone happy?

Overall, while the reactions are obviously mostly positive, with the premieres of TFA and TLJ I didn't see anywhere near the amount of qualifiers or "It was great, but..."-type statements. What this means for the general audience reaction or its legacy, it's hard to say, but just throwing that out there.
