Yeah, it appears as though they did. That felt fishy to begin with - not the legitimacy of the soundtrack - but I've never seen such a high profile soundtrack like that posted so early for free (even though it wasn't completely full tracks). That, and usually stuff like that is password protected for voters.

Question...

- I have *a* ticket to see TROS in Dolby Atmos next Thursday at 6 PM (the first possible showing) at AMC's big, flagship theater fairly close to my apartment. It's not a great seat but not a bad seat either. In the rush to buy tickets, I bought this one as a backup in case I wasn't able to get the theater/showing I wanted for our big group outing.

- I have six tickets to see TROS in true IMAX a day later, next Friday at 7 PM, at The Chinese Theater in Hollywood with a group of friends in great seats.

So... do I see TROS for the first time on Thursday in a pretty good theater, but by myself - or - do I wait a day and see it for the first time with friends in IMAX in the most famous theater in the world? If I go Thursday night alone I'll still go on Friday, but my first time seeing the final Skywalker movie ever won't be in the ideal environment. But if I wait 'til Friday, I risk being spoiled, won't be part of the first wave of discussion in the spoiler thread, and will of course have to endure 24 hours of jealousy before I finally see it for myself Friday night. I'm leaning toward just seeing it both nights, back-to-back, but can be swayed to wait 'til Friday.

What do I do?

To be clear, I'm going with them regardless. It's whether my first viewing is with them or not.

Where is the best theater "true IMAX" in Houston area? I've always settled for Showbiz SDX that's only 5 minutes from the house.

I go to the movies solo all the time and love it. But for this one, I'm waiting until Friday to go with the wife and kids. My oldest has finals so a Thursday showing was out.

I'm gonna miss posting in the spoilers thread immediately after, but it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience after TLJ.

I'm starting to worry that this is not going to be so good just by the amount of commercials and other media. Isn't the hype already at a fever pitch and doesn't Hollywood typically bombard tv with ads when they think they have a stinker on their hands. If it is good, won't word of mouth carry it past opening week.

Why the media blitz? Everyone that is going to see this in the first two weeks knows exactly the day it comes out. I'm sure most people in America knows when this is coming out. I know espn is a Disney property, but this morning there was a ROS commercial during every break.

Endgame had a huge marketing blitz too. This is what they do.

Could also be some backlash from all the critics and naysayers that said Solo didn't get enough marketing,and that led to it's lack of success.

If you remember, the book for The Force Awakens didn't contain any of the art from Han's death scene. It was in The Last Jedi book.

Yeah there were like Avengers Endgame still frames during commercial breaks on WatchESPN... definitely not unusual.
