If they introduce time travel in Star Wars 9 episodes in, I think I'm going to walk out.

Time travel was already introduced in the Rebels TV series. It's cannon. But would they dare use it in the films?
I wonder if a good topic for conversation would be like random 'not thought much about' details from previous movies that you think are going to matter in this movie.
I brought this up a while back, but for me something that happened in The Last Jedi that I can't get out of my head is Yoda using the force to create a lightning strike on that tree. That's the first and only time we've ever seen a force ghost have a tangible impact on the real world and I can't shake the feeling that with that established and on the table, it would be hard for Abrams to not use it in the final installment.

I feel like Force ghosts are almost obligated to come back in this movie to fight Palpatine. And yeah, that would mean impacting the real world. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all, and I thought it was actually kind of cool when Yoda did it.
Yeah, I don't have a problem with it either really. I don't know how exactly it would work... they can't really kill someone that's already dead... but who knows. It's just something from TLJ that I'd put decent money is going to come back up in TROS.
A force ghost fight inside the Death Star to parallel a Rey/Kylo fight outside it?
I think Luke will be the first to be able to go back and forth between the real world and the netherworld at will.

That would salvage the franchise for the old timers who just want to see Luke the Super Jedi wreck shop, but I doubt they do it. I'd be happy enough with some hand waving about how he didn't actually die at the end of TLJ
Honestly, I concede that ultimately it would come off as lame, but I still like the idea of a ghost "Darth Vader", is the Vader fell so deep and had some much hatred it manifested into its own Sith ghost. Similar to Darth Nilihus in KOTOR 2.
We should have a KOTOR/KOTOR2 thread. I love those games, even if the second one doesn't make no kind of sense.

Going to be honest. Kind of glad this didn't happen.
Leia was never set up to be a Jedi. Her role as a leader of the Rebellion/Resistance was where was she was most effective. It would've felt a little forced, to me. (Pardon the pun.)

Yep. Sounds pretty terrible.
I think it could have been cool if it had been built up, but if Leia was suddenly wielding a light saber in the final movie that would have been super weird.
Todd has as history of saying things that aren't quite true so who knows. I would have loved leia and sheev on screen together
Leia Poppins was a "breathtaking" scene? It damn near ruined the entire move for me.
I have no doubt Trevorrow might have intended to do that

It was breathtaking in that 'what the hell is going on right now' kind of way.
I remember the guy seated in front of me audibly saying "oh no....no no no no" as soon as she opened her eyes in space.
