Incredible finale that surpassed my expectations. I'm gonna miss this show until next season.

I can't get over Logan's incredulous "What the ****?" to Tom. Laughed out loud.
Killer Kendall!!!
I'm almost mad at myself for not seeing how obvious - and perfect - that ending was, in hindsight. Season one ended with Logan bringing Kendall back into the fray, season two ended with Logan sacrificing Kendall to the wolves. In the words of George Lucas, "It's like poetry... it rhymes."
That said, the second Logan told Kendall he wasn't a killer, literally right after Logan mentioned the press conference, I knew exactly how it was going to end. To then tag Greg onto that moment as well - and have the cruise stuff finally pay off in just that way - was so brilliant. As for whether Logan *wanted* that to happen, I don't think he necessarily orchestrated it, but when it *did* happen, he couldn't help but let that half smile seep through. Kendall is now worthy, even if that means he's also now Logan's adversary.
All said and done, this has to be one of the best seasons - or first two seasons, rather - of a series I've ever seen. Just a perfect, incredibly satisfying arc from start to finish. I'm also seeing a response and a buzz on Twitter like I haven't seen for a show in quite some time. EVERYONE loved that finale, and people I had no idea even watched the show are chiming in with their effusive praise. It fells like Succession truly "arrived" tonight in a big way, and the anticipation for season three is going to be at a fever pitch. Cannot wait.

Really enjoyed the season and ending.
Outstanding finale, I knew this wouldn't be an easy sacrifice when none of Logan's outs came to fruition. No sovereign money, and they even went groveling to Stewie. I thought Tom was going to jump on the grenade, but then he just ate Logan's chicken. I could watch everyone nominate/blame each other for days.

I love Tom and Shivs scene. Great acting for both of them. So good to see it come out of Tom. Yes a wonderful surprise ending.

When Logan said "You're not a Killer" and the camera just lingered on Kendall's face....you could feel the emotions play out. Sadness for being a failure. Anger for being betrayed by his father. And of course, guilt for actually being a 'killer.'
It was such a perfect line by Logan that he knew would cut Kendall in a million different ways all the while serving as a direct taunt.

This show is the best acted show I have seen and I've seen all the big hitters. The characters are all so well written and acted it's incredible. This is a top to bottom all time great show. It's mind blowing how perfect every single character and scene is put together.

I don't think he intended this, but I think he was just a bit proud. If you remember back to S1, Roman tells Kendall that their father won't respect him unless he goes for the kill. Then the whole killer speech in this episode.

I also think among all of the other little subplots, they have done an incredible job with Shiv. Here is a woman who has always achieved at whatever she has set herself to, always gotten what she wanted.
To watch how it has hit her that Tom more or less tell her she has failed him on an emotional level has been amazing. It's like this person who has always been so confident of her abilities in every facet, that probably doesn't even really *care* about love... to have her partner tell her that she has failed him has devastated her.

I may be alone on this, but I think this could've been planned by Logan from the beginning. At the very beginning of the season he may have wanted Shiv, but i think she was ultimately a pawn in all of this, and her biggest problem is her politics. The only thing she was good for with Logan was trying to control the Senator.
But if you think back through the season, it could be perceived that he was grooming Ken the entire year. First off, he had a few closed door meetings with ken regarding the sonny and stewie thing, and Shiv was not part of it. Second, Ken cold-blooded shut down Vaulter. I mean it was cold-blooded how he handled it, very Loganesque. Then came the hearings. Logan defaulted to Ken to answer all the questions, and Ken was again cold-blooded in his responses. I think once Logan knew they weren't going private, the grooming of Ken was his backup plan. Ken was his apprentice all season, and that half-smile was Logan's way of saying he knew it was going to happen and he set his son up to be a cold-blooded killer, not a ***** backstabber as in Season 1. Also, one last piece. Logan ridding Naomi was also part of it. He doesn't want Ken's drug problem to get in the way. If he believed Ken was going to be the absolute fall guy, why not have Naomi there where he can leverage Ken as the fall guy with his druggie girlfriend present.
The only part that throws me off in all of this is where Rhea stood.
I'm probably way off on all this, but it sure seems like there were subtle hints all season about Ken and Logan, and it really started showing with Vaulter.

I felt like the last 3-4 episodes had been setting up for a coup by the children... Shiv getting ****ed around, Roman getting smacked by his father, Gerri having the CEO title in name, Marcia leaving his side... I thought this episode would be them all discussing offering up their father and taking over control themselves as they had all proven in different ways that they were capable if they all were in it together.
I feel like that is ultimately what next season will consist of... The key members of the "old guard" being poached or eliminated for the new guard.

Uncle Ewan should be quite happy with Greg Sprinkles taking down evil empire Logan, so this is a $250 million move for Greg and anything else gained by being Team Kendall would be gravy.
Speaking of Greg, random question... why did Logan (or anyone else, really) think Greg was leaving with Kendall on the helicopter there at the end? For a split second I thought Greg had been sacrificed as well, but that didn't make any sense, and then everything of course became clear a couple minutes later. I'm assuming Greg revealed his hand to Kendall before getting on the helicopter, but I'm curious of the excuse/reason that was given to the family as to why Greg was leaving with Kendall...
Logan has looked to Greg as Kendall's "don't OD" handler before. So it may have been with the thought that Greg could babysit him well enough to make it to the presser. I think the writers used the bathroom comment (don't worry, I won't kill myself) to help make that appear to be the intent. Then after that, I'm guessing Kendall brings Greg into the plan, knowing from season 1 that Greg has the docs to help him execute it.
