It's a reference to the Roman/Gerri alliance they formed earlier this season. Rome said something along the lines of "I can be the super hero and you can be the mole woman".
Thinking back I butchered that- it was Rock Star and Mole Woman. Totally understand y'all not getting that now.
I was just curious why they built that up for several episodes and then that plot line fizzled. First it was some sort of weird sexual thing, and then it turned into more of a business alliance.

We've definitely not seen the last of the Roman+Gerri alliance/relationship, IMO.
How did it fizzle? Roman stuck up for her at the table when she was getting thrown under the bus. Probably the most romantic thing done on this show.

I just thought we would have seen more. But this show does a great job of planting seeds and cashing in on them down the line.

Regarding the finale - we just watched last night. Loved it right along with everyone else.
I do think Logan was grooming Ken all season, but Logan wasn't sure what he was going to do. This was sort of a win-win for Logan. Either Kendall takes the fall and the company is saved, or Ken comes into his own and becomes a killer. I think the Logan smile at the end was his nod of approval and pride, seeing that Ken finally came into his own.
I also thought the Roman plot was interesting - him winning the day, but finally showing the business acumen to not take the deal - was kind of shocked to see him show such maturity there - but good for him. So who was that Laird guy and what was his position? I didn't really understand why he left just because they decided against doing the deal.
And several questions I hope they answer next season:
-How long had Ken been plotting with Greg? I kind of think it had been going on a while and that maybe Greg really didn't blow off his uncle.
-Are we going to see any more of the super-hero / mole woman team?
-Now that Ken dropped the bomb on Logan - will Logan take him down with the manslaughter incident?
-Could Ken have been conspiring with Stewy all along? I mean, he knew he was in Greece. And this will surely upset the shareholders and make it a slam dunk for Sandy and Stewy to get all the votes.
Greg told Ken about the documents a long time ago. Ken set up Greg with a FREE badass bachelor pad. Just as Logan was grooming Ken, Ken was grooming Greg
Can anyone find a link to the scene where Roman goes offscript at the recording studio? I have been looking for it and cannot find it. I can't remember the episode now, but that may have been the funniest part all season.

I googled IMDB Bryan Cox and had no idea he has such an extensive filmography. I think it was 222 acting credits or something. Some of favorites he has been in:
-Jason Bourne series
-Matchpoint (very similar role as a rich business man - just much less evil)
-Super Troopers
He was also William Wallace's badass uncle in Braveheart - the one who taught him to fight.

When Succession Season 2 started, I went back and watched it again - probably for the 10th time. One of my favorites.TCTTS said:

Finally got to watch tonight and I was not disappointed. Put me in the camp that thinks Logan wanted this. Him shushing Roman so he could listen is what sealed it for me.
My dad was the type to always make sure I knew he was a step ahead of me. If it was tossing the baseball, he always made sure his throws stung my hand more if I happened to catch him. He wasn't the type to let me win anything, didn't matter. If I was going to beat him, I was going to get his best game no matter what.
I don't think Logan was going to give his kids anything when it came to the company. He wasn't going to walk away, and he wasn't going to hand it off. Someone had to take it from him. Kendall tried once and failed after he got his dad's best game. Now he's trying again, and the old man is proud, but not going to roll over for him
It's also like every Shakespearean trope rolled into one show, and it works brilliantly. Logan is Polonious using Shiv as a pawn. He's King Lear turning his kids against each other and himself. I guess all that remains is whether Kendall is Macbeth or not.

Finally got around to watching the finale. Loved it like everyone else. Best show on television.
I think it picked up some steam with viewers this season. I couldn't find anyone who watched it last season. By the end of this season, a lot of people I asked about the show were watching it. I expect the show to gain even more viewers by season 3.

Assuming HBO green lights this show indefinitely, what do you think the appropriate number of seasons would be? I'm thinking it should top out around 5 - maybe six. Anything more than that might be too much.

Definitely no more than 5 for sure. But yeah, 4 feels like the right number.
Just caught up and finished S2. LFG Kendall!
Just binged this over the break with my wife and we both loved it. I wanted to bump it in case anyone out there is looking for a new show.
