The best part of the Hobbit was the dwarves singing the Misty Mountains song. The trilogy went down here from there.

But it wasnt nearly as a good as "wheres there's a whip, theres a way" from the animated version
The guy who voices Gandalf in that movie is my definitive Gandalf.Duncan Idaho said:MuckRaker96 said:

Just like the cast of the hobbit
But some of the characters are very different in the Second Age. In LOTR, Galadriel has had millennia to reflect on her own hubris and her desire to become a great queen, allowing her to reject the Ruling Ring when it was offered to her. Galadriel in the Second Age should be different: She should be someone who is eager for power and ambitious, who is still under the Ban of the Valar for her role in the rebellion of the Noldor. Thematically, she should be an enthusiastic proponent of the Ring project or at the least the goals behind the Ring project, but not of Annatar.amercer said:ja86 said:

Right. We know the elves live forever(ish)
The point is that any character we know from later movies can't die in this show. And has to act a certain way in this show that matches their later story. Tolkien make a huge world which is great because there are connections in theme over the ages, but not always connected stories. So we really don't need any characters that we've seen before.
