Frank Costanza - relating a story of shopping for a doll for his son George for Christmas
- as I reached for the [last doll on the shelf], so did another man. As I rained blows upon this man, I thought, there has to be a better way.

Not sure if I got the quote exactly right, but the 'As I rained blows ...' part is what always cracked me up on this episode, the famous Festivus episode.

I absolutely love the backwards episode.

Have to give credit to Aggie88 the other day on the Texans Offseason thread. If you loved Peterman you'll love this (if you don't know, there is a QB in the NFL draft with that last name)

Quote:

I want the Texans to take Peterman just for all the Seinfeld jokes.

"Haha, my friend! It appears that my judicious use of the snap count has yet again induced you into crossing the neutral zone. Fourth and 5? I think not, you magnificent scalawag!"
This clip, my friends and I used Kramer's "cat fight" line all the time

From the Frogger episode .....

KRAMER: Oh no, no,. no. I had to fish around in the evidence room for it. You know, they're all preoccupied, trying to hunt down this new psycho-serial killer, the Lopper. All right, I'll see ya.
ELAINE: Wait a minute, wait a minute. Who is the Lopper?
KRAMER: Oh, it's no big deal. It's just some guy who's been running around Riverside park-pffff. You know, cutting people's heads off.
JERRY: How come I haven't read about this?
KRAMER: Well, you know, the police, they've been having some internal dissension about the name.
ELAINE: Really? What're the other titles?
KRAMER: Uh, Headso...uh...The Denogginizer...Son of dad.
JERRY: Son of dad?
KRAMER: Yeah. That was my suggestion. It's sort of a catchall.

And ......

KRAMER: You know the police, they found another victim of the Lopper in Riverside Park. I saw the photo, and it looked a lot like you.
JERRYL Oh, come on. There's a lot of people walking around the city that look like me.
KRAMER: Not as many as there used to be.

I can't pick one episode. They are all great!

I've always liked the one where they were lost in the parking garage and Kramer is carrying a huge window unit.

Did you know he really carried around an ac unit all day then misse when he went to put it in the trunk. Busted his lip. But they kept the cameras rolling.

Then the car didn't start. Also not part of the script.

Pretty much impossible to hear "write-off" and not recite that scene. Drives my wife crazy since she's typically the one saying it... it's perfect.

both George and Elaine start abstaining.

George gets smarter and smarter, Elaine gets stupider and stupider.

That's right! Isn't that the episode where Bob's character (or whomever Elaine is dating if it is indeed a different episode I am thinking of) finally passes the medical exam, and then breaks up with Elaine and says something to the effect of "I always told myself that whenever I passed the exam, I would break up with whomever I was with and immediately find someone better. That's the dream of being a doctor."

I'm sure I butchered the line, but I would put that scene in my Top 5.
LHIOB

Thats close. She asks if she can introduce him as "doctor" before he passes the exam because "thats the dream" and he uses the same line in her after passing it because the dream is to drop who ever you are with after you pass the exam.

Its very genius.

This episode also has George teaching Bernie Williams and Jeter how to hit home runs.

And Jerry getting bumped from his high school career day.

Ha! That's right - and then Letterman bumping Jerry because he heard about the career day bumping.

Maybe we can live without libraries, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and the Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn't HE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you'd better think again.

Kramer: Ha ha, the Ukraine. Do you know what the Ukraine is? It's a sitting
duck. A road apple, Newman. The Ukraine is weak. It's feeble. I think it's
time to put the hurt on the Ukraine.

Ukrainian: I come from Ukraine. You not say Ukraine weak.

Kramer: Yeah, well we're playing a game here, pal.

Ukrainian: Ukraine is game to you?! Howbout I take your little board and smash
it!!

Bookman is the greatest non-regular character in the series, maybe in the history of television.

I'll see you Bookman and Flagg and raise you a Russ Hanneman on Silicon Valley.

Pure genius.... Billionaire who cusses like a sailor, dresses like a ******bag, is a terrible parent, horrible with money, only drives cars with "doors that go like this", is completely narcissistic and a grade A pervert, possibly a closet homosexual in denial, offends literally every race, gender, religion and sexual orientation and well he is undoubtedly psychotic. Every scene with him is gold.

Great thread. I would recommend the book Seinfeldia. It's essentially a biography of the show. Easy read and well worth the time with a lot of interesting background to the series.
