Can't remember...have they set a time frame on the show? 2 seasons including this one?
Correct.

When it's LSV, **** goes down.

Picking up pace until episode 8 or so has been the past track record.

Killing the dude in the lab will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Phillip is done. Further events will only contribute to his unravelling.

Plus, now he's got some cool 1-2-3 spreadsheets to keep track of everything that doesn't add up.

Any chance Stan's new GF is CIA? Worried Stan might be a double agent.

Possibly but didn't Phillip singal that car to follow her ? Still could be though and that could just be him following her to see if she is either soviet or CIA. I Elizabeth and Phillip were worried she was soviet

Elizabeth walked in. Philip admitted to get that he'd been struggling the morality of the job for a while. Elizabeth said she could handle the nasty stuff by herself going forward. Philip said no, they were a team.

the scene with the 3 women at the table at Oleg's parents house was funny and sad at the same time. but they had nice food on the table. could be the old man gets that because of his position but it could be what someone above mentioned - perhaps the food chain corruption oleg is looking into leads to pop.

misha is a wildcard. i cant imagine he just quietly goes back to russia.

henry - has he already figured out who his parents are?
Joan Wilder

It was fascinating and sad to see Phillip playing catch with his fake son, all the while clueless about the life of Henry.

They are some real absentee parents; I often wonder how good the cover story of travel agent explains their constant overnight absences. How did they do this when the kids were little?

Oleg has become a fascinating character, and the actor communicates so well with just his expressions.
SWCBonfire
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Agreed, Oleg is truly the only "good guy" with his integrity intact.

Which means, of course, that he will get tested mercilessly.

Cheap plot point would be Martha hitting it off with Oleg to remind him how much better being in the US was.

That episode really moved the arc along a whole bunch.

That scientist got some nice Russian pie for dessert after that Egyptian meal.

It did. It's pretty clear where Philip's story is going at this point.

And yet Elizabeth was completely bored....while he was going to town.....too funny.

Philip seemed disinterested as well.

He probably was fantasizing about Lotus 1-2-3.

Stan directed that episode.

I love this show. I think the beginning of the end happened when Elizabeth told Philip what the Ag company was really doing with the grain and pests. Lots of different plot lines going on, and I think most of them will converge in the second half of this season.
Ol Jock 99

I think the spiral is well underway. Elizabeth killing the old woman at the factory was hers. Phillip has be rough for a while, but seducing that teenage girl was probably his breaking.

Look at the sex scenes. Phil has been pained for a while, but Elizabeth always effed with abandon. No more.

Dark. But brilliant.
Joan Wilder

Destroying Martha's life seemed to undo Phillip. He genuinely cared about her. Elizabeth started to waver when she had to compromise her friend's husband. The Avon lady was probably her one actual friend.

It will be interesting to see where they go tonight because a lot of the season arcs seemed to be closed last week.

The grain issue is done, so do they really need to be tracking the defector anymore with the asian kid?

CIA seems to have stood down on Stan.

At this point we've the Misha story and Stan's girlfriend. I guess we have the Paige stuff, but who cares. I'm guessing they will introduce some new spy craft mission.
Bismarck

Don't forget the defector's wife who will be teaching Russian. They think they will somehow turn that into a list of all the CIA operatives headed to Moscow.
DannyDuberstein

Yep, I think their work evolves from the ag guy to his wife. And it could go in any number of directions based on what they learn from that.

Don't undersell the Stan girlfriend storyline. Like was hypothesized above, my thought last episode is that she's American, and trying to figure out if he's been compromised or not.

Oleg may be off on his own thing now, but I find him fascinating. Agree with the comments about how good both the character and the actor have been there. Terrific work.

Another slow burn episode but..........the end was subtly moving without a word spoken.

Wow!!

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah that ending was bad ass, this is the second time I remember a Peter gabriel song to close out an episode.

The camera panned to something in that guys cell when Oleg was looking but even after rewatching I couldn't figure out what the hell it was

Wondering if that guy that took prisoner has info on his parents

Hardly any Stan this episode, he got what 2 minutes if that?

This episode hardly had any action, actually none, but was awesome.
Quad Dog
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think it was just the bathroom in the cell, which was pretty much a bucket.

Some nice directing that it showed Oleg up high looking down on a man in a prison cell. Then it cut to him looking up at the FBI recording tape above him.
Joan Wilder
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Is Stan basically raising Henry at this point?

I'm obsessed with wanting to understand how Elizabeth and Phillip keep their skills sharp - do they go to spy camp a few times a year to learn the key trick, new spyware technologies, and fighting skills?

Oleg started out as kind of a d*b**** guy who got his job through nepotism, and he's evolved into one of the most interesting characters and storylines in the show. His disillusionment is fascinating parallel to Phillip and Elizabeth's.

I can't believe that in the midst of all their doubts and struggles lately, they're pulling Paige in more deeply.
$3 Sack of Groceries
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It's going in a direction that I didnt see coming....well at least part of it. Paige seems to be buying in right as Stan and Elizabeth seem to be checking out.

I didn't see Paige taking to it.

I probably missed it, but who was Elizabeth watching in the 10-15 seconds before the scene with Paige about the book?

She went to her Asian Mary Kay friend's old house and was watching the family that lived there now, knowing that she destroyed her friend's family. That scene?
Joan Wilder
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ooof. That was rough. She genuinely liked her Mary Kay friend and she completely wrecked her life.

1. When Oleg went up to the roof and burned the tape, I half-expected him to jump to his death. Those musical numbers seem to coincide with someone getting greased.

2. Philip is totally falling apart.

3. I think Elizabeth's discomfort at the Mary Kay lady is a harbinger for things to come. There are so many loose end is going to come back and haunt them.

4. What a bust on the Misha plot line. He just goes back with no consequences? What did that do for the plot other than fatigue Gabriel?

5. Conclusion: great episode.

I think the Misha plot was for Gabriel to have something where he lied to Philip. He specifically tells grandma that he has never lied to Philip before this and after he did that was when Philip started thinking something was wrong with Gabriel.
