Actually in the Robbie Reyes story, Johnny Blaze shows up, so there there is a way for Johnny Blaze to be in universe. They are possessed by different demons.
I've never read the Reyes story, so I did not know that.

That emoji is the face that I made when I read your post, though.

It's going to be very interesting to see who is funding the watchdogs.

It's that lady with the terragen cocoon for a brother, right? A senator or something?

The Senator lady on tv who argued with Director Mace is the same one with the cocoon, yes.

And who the mole(s) is in SHIELD that keeps feeding them info (senator had the scoop on the prison as it was happening, and footage of it afterwards).

I am getting so tired of every superhero show going to the mopey, loner hero who pushes everyone away to *protect" them, only to have everyone get back together late in the season to defeat the bad guy.

That is a tired and lazy go-to trope, and shows the writers have no imagination.
Agreed, but at least they did have May call her out on it in a unique way: "It won't work. Believe me, I invented it."

Yes, this. Plus, haven't we been here before with Daisy's character? All of season 1 (maybe longer?) she was the loner hacker who pushed Coulson away. Get over yourself already. I hated her back then. I am getting to that point again.

I've been enjoying this show but I cant stand Daisy. I would rather her not even be in the show. She is annoying and always whining and has some really bad dialogue. Ghost Rider has been cool but I wish it showed him in his car on fire more. I think I liked last season more with Lash and evil Ward.

Very nice!

And tonight is a Ghost Rider heavy episode. Can't wait! He is already a top five Marvel hero for me (based on the show and what I've read in the comics.)

4 week break is going to suck... especially after that episode. The visuals on Ghost Rider deserve all of the Emmy's!

That cliff hanger... And we have to wait until the end of the month for the next episode.

OK, so what do we think happened to Robbie, Coulson, and Fitz? A lot of references to Agent Carter season 2, perhaps they're incorporeal like that scientist was for awhile?

I'm a full grown man and this happened at my house last night during that episode:

Reyes: "It's not me, it's the other guy. And he wants out"

Full Grown Man...out loud: "Oh, snap!"

Mrs. FGM: Did you just say...

FGM: Shut up.

I'm digging this season big time. I think Ghost Rider has been a great addition and the writing for him has been pretty great. Like his acting as well.

The writing for the moment when he and the ghost meet and she called him Gabriel like the angel...SO good. Favorite scene of the episode for me.

I liked that one, but my favorite was when he breaks out of the containment cell and Fitz goes "that's not possible."

I would be surprised if there was any adverse effect on Robbie. I suppose Fitz and Coulson could be trapped in those boxes.

Also, where do we think Mace sent Simmons?

My guess is she is going to do something with the senator. Possibly be forced to work on a "cure" for inhumans?

I didn't realize the show was going on a one month hiatus... I guess that gives me time to see Dr strange, at least.

Boy the writing has been so hit or miss for me. There's that one ^ but then there's pretty much all the lines for Quake, and yes they even threw in a scientist saying "according to my calculations." My brain pretty much vomits anytime I hear that in a piece of fiction.

I like Ghost Rider, and I like what he's brought the show, but I feel like they should start parting ways. I kind of feel like each is keeping the other from being better. Ghost Rider as a standalone show (ideally Netflix and gorey) and the Agents at this point feel like they'd stand better on their own and that their themes don't mesh (part of that has been why this season has been as good as it has, because the team has to deal with something new). Ultimately though, SHIELD is a spy organization while Ghost Rider seems to have the motives of a street-level vigilante (though he seems pretty boss, and, it appears, could go toe-to-toe with the Avengers). Too long of a paragraph for such a minor complaint, I know, but I guess what I'm getting at is I'm ready for Ghost Rider to be doing his own thing (both story wise, and production wise).

As an aside - can you imagine Michael Pena's character explaining Ghost Rider?

I feel like everyone is forgetting Coulson's winning line of the night.

That was mine too. Mostly because it was reminiscent of Coulson's line from a previous season about naming the villains.

It's always good when these shows are self aware. It's one of the best qualities of the CW shows.

Finally caught up on all 6 eps so far. I've enjoyed the Ghost Rider stuff, and most of the stuff with the core characters. Great cliffhanger at the end of the last episode.

Gripes: nearly everything regarding the security/chain of command/new director for SHIELD and Daisy's self-loathing. Also, having powers that break your own bones makes you a pretty worthless superhero.

Someone mentioned wondering who is feeding evil Senator intel, and I think it has to be the Director's PR guy. That dude has gotten way too much screen time with barely any lines so far. He's definitely being setup for a bigger role.
