The visuals of Kong and the 70s rock music used in so many scenes is the reason to see this in the theater. Very fun movie with great graphics. My screen savers and backgrounds will all change as soon as I get a digital version of this movie.
Agreed...the overhead views of the ship clearly showed four Hueys and a Chinook. Then, in flight, we've got at least eight Hueys, the Chinook, and a Sea Stallion! I kept looking for more ships to have handled those extra helos!G Martin 87 said:
Fun movie, and I love how it sets up future battles. I just about jumped out of my seat when Ghidorah's silhouette was shown. Just imagine what a proper Ghidorah will look like with today's special effects! However, the number of helicopters involved was one of the worst, most ridiculous examples of bad continuity I've ever seen. Where was that freighter carrying all those extra helicopters? Groan.
You sound like a fun guy.....Hogties said:
This movie was Sharknado bad. So many laugh out loud moments (and not in a good way) from the 4 helicopters on the ship to a dozen in the air like Russian nesting dolls, or the skull with the dog tags (so Sharknado), or the guy getting quartered by the "birds".
I enjoyed it but only because it was so laughably bad and over the top ridiculous that it was entertaining.

My 9 year old really wants to see it, how is the language and violence??
Took my 9 year old to see it. I was concerned during some of the more violent parts, but a glance over at him assured me that he was loving it. There is a good amount of violence and language in it, but the movie is so fun I think that will all be glossed over by the action on the screen.rosshoss00 said:

Ok so the stinger:
So we had Godzilla obviously. Mothra. And the three headed guy is Ghidra right? Did I miss anyone?
And now that SLJ is dead who's gonna unite the monsters so they can defeat Thanos? .. edit You missed Rodan.. which makes sense since Mothra, Godzilla and Rodan teamed up to beat King Ghidra(sp?) in the first monster team up back in the 50s

Kong is set in 1973. Godzilla is set in 2014.
How are they going to reconcile the universes, especially with regards to the ages of Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson?

BTW, I really appreciated SLJ's line: Hold on to your butts

But I did appreciate that they were all using M16A2's and SLJ had an M14 (and Shea Whigham's AK47)...someone was paying attention.

Thought it was laughably bad. Felt exactly like a Zach Snyder film. That scene where Tom Hiddleston's character uses the samurai sword? lol palm to forehead.
