Finally had time to watch the 2nd episode tonight and catch up on the thread. Really good hour of TV there. I especially liked all of the school scenes and the realization/learning going on. Also thought the druggie did well too, even though he was limited this episode.

The random cop loading up on water at the gas station was the most pivotal moment in describing the situation in LA. It is then when you know things are SHTF and every man for themself.

Parents want to shield children from reality...especially when it comes to death of a loved one.

No one in TWD has confirmed by a line of dialogue that the zombie pathogen killed people (it is heavily implied by several characters) as many times the person being discussed who died/turned had also been bitten.

However, it is assumed that the pathogen had to have killed millions because even with everyone infected, if there was only the normal death rate, there would never be enough zombies to overwhelm the world. People would quickly figure out what was happening and prevent those who died from reanimating.

She said because it would break Travis to "take care of HER" if she ended up like Susan. It was a subtle jab. I thought she was going to ask the ex to finish Susan because she couldn't do it.
But she should have said he's too weak.

We have to get hordes of em ASAP, like the riot cops cutting off certain high-density areas, and those just feasting and turning.

According to Jenner (CDC dude) at first it took 2 hours for the dead to reanimate. But as folks got more exposed to Zs, it happens within 5 mins of death (that was S1Ep6, so a month or so after the outbreak).

Do yall remember Vatos? (S1E3) The retirement home in Atlanta...some people stayed in the city and managed. You can go on youtube and see the unaired scene where during S1E5 Ricks group go back to the Vato's retirement home and it is overrun. Then in E6 (aires) when he has his morning soliloquy to Morgan he declares "Atlanta belongs to the dead now."

So we see there is a resistance of some to leave, but its futile. Depending on density, LA belongs to the dead faster than ATL.


While we are hopeful the military protects the protagonist family in FTWD, being outflanked on all sides and dead arising from quarantine zones, there simply isnt enough military. It would take more than 40 to secure that neighborhood, and thats just one neighborhood.

I do appreciate the ammophobe husband being told to STFU about his pansy ass anti-gun sentiments. That shotgun just saved his life as he tried to tell Maddy "hey I got this, let me talk this Z down"

Travis is a *****. His son needs to know how to shoot; they need more guns, and more ammo. His preventing Madison from putting Susan down will directly result in Patrick (probably) dying.

Mr. Salazar knows what's up. However, he may have a hard time implementing necessary protocols when Griselda bites it, and she's going to.

Teen-aged daughter, Maddie?, is going first, IMO. She had failed to follow instructions how many times? But then again, no one bothered to tell her that there were dead people making snacks of the living.
