While a great movie, I disliked the very ending of Ex Machina.

- Jurassic Park for the iconic king of the dinosaurs moment
- Oldboy. The music as the credits roll is haunting. Really, really hit me. I can still hear it perfectly and it's been years
- Casablanca
- African Queen


And not to derail anything, but I remember not liking the end to Shutter Island. SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT - I feel like any time you break out a white board to explain a twist, you're trying way too hard. Omg the letters are swapped about, let me demonstrate

well not the best movie ending in history for sure but....Star Wars The Force Awakens was very very good. Loved it. Very nostalgic but also new and fun and hit the right note in a lot of ways. My teens loved it too so thats saying something. Star Wars is back.

Are you kidding? The ending was awful. Uncas (the young Mohican) runs ahead of his mates for no discernible reason, loses a fight and dies, Alice jumps off a cliff, and then the old chief and Hawkeye show up a second later and win the fight. And you wonder over and over "why did Uncas ditch his backup just to get there 45 seconds earlier? What did he accomplish?" Really, it was a pair of deaths that simply didn't make much sense. Instead, it felt like a sequence that was nonsensically spliced in just to add an emotional punch to the movie.

And yea I know it was based on the book and that the same thing likely happened in the book. Doesn't make it good or sensible.

It's actually a complete departure from the book. In the book it is Chingachgook who died and Uncas is the titular character. Most of the love story angles were fabricated for the film as well.

Actually no..Uncas dies in the book and his aged father is left alive. What they changed was the sister who dies. It was Cora the older dark haired daughter who Magua wants and who dies. The blonde lives.

I believe Braveheart has only been mentioned once, so I'll simply say that I concur. Lots of other great ones mentioned already.

This is the End (utterly ridiculous and funny like the entire movie)

The Myst had a great ending. Not a happy one but incredibly well made one

The great escape...when Steve McQueen starts bouncing the baseball and the guard pauses a bit before walking away
