My mom of all people didn't like GoT...because of the killing of all things. The porn and everything else was ok.

To answer your question, no.
Does the incest in Game of Thrones disgust or bother you in any way?
No more than the insect in the bible bothers me.
If it was good enough for noah, his kids, Adam's kids, Lot's kids or a few others, I don't see why it would be an issue in this story.
Except you're comparing the Biblical accounts of early man populating the world to a work of fiction created by modern man.

The current king is a minor, so legally he was raped by his wife.

quote:Maester Aemon gave Jon the advice to "Kill the boy. Let the man be born.'
Just watched the episode from Sunday.. I might have missed something, but what was the "kill the boy" reference? It was mentioned in episode and it was the title.... Apologize in advance if it was clear as day..
quote:Ned told no one. If your sisters dying wish was to keep a secret that determined her childs life, you wouldn't tell either. Neds too honorable to betray her secret, even to his wife.
The one thing about R+L=J that never made sense to me is Cat's hatred for Jon. You would think Ned could at least tell her so she'd lighten up on Jon and not resent Ned as much either. I'm pretty sure she could be trusted with the secret.

quote:Kind of dumb? Neds honor literally killed him. If he was smart enough to play the game, he would have been able to easily escape Kings Landing. Or at least he would have been able to control the court and get Stannis in power, who he backed.quote:

I know, I know... honorable Ned always keeps his word... And it helps sell that Jon is his b@stard which was ultimately the point... But you can't help but think this is another instance of Ned's honor being kind of dumb.
