There are always barriers - like scheduling, budget, the script, etc - as to why studios can't just pick anyone they want. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but in this instance a number of actors turned the part down. They went after other names first (like Adam Driver) and those names declined, apparently because Sue is the real star, and it's slightly more her story. Pascal is the one who didn't mind playing somewhat of a second fiddle. Now, I'm sure he's obviously still in it a ton, and that all four of them - as a team - are of course the primary focus. It's just that some actors don't want to be seen as not being THE number one draw of a movie, even in an ensemble like this.

I think that's exactly it. Especially now that Disney and Sony are officially in business together with Spider-Man, and this is technically a "Spider-Man" movie. Bad word of mouth on a Sony Marvel movie is now bad worth of mouth on a Disney Marvel movie, in the eyes of Average Joe Movie Goer.

Meh. I like Galactus and I love the Silver Surfer, but this is like if Spider-Man: Homecoming gave us Green Goblin again. F4 have probably the best rogues gallery after Spider-Man, Batman and the X-Men, but it's always Doom and Galactus.

I'm so ready for a dr doom arc, I really hope we get that soon and I REALLY hope they work MF DOOM in to the soundtrack.

Also that new xmen cartoon looks so sick. I used to love rogue and gambit from that era and wolverine was always top notch. Cyclops is a *****, though.
