If that was DC everybody would be ****ting on it.
quote:Exactly. I am disappointed with DC because I grew up watching the Batman, Superman, and Justice League Animated Series. I also liked Marvel because of Spiderman and the X-Men but knew nothing of their other characters.
It's Marvel so obviously it's great

So what is "DCish" v. "Marvelish"?
Like Marsuvees, I was a DC kid (back in the 70's) and knew very little about Marvel except that they seem to be stealing a lot of the DC ideas. And I too am disappointed that DC hasn't figured out their vision for the DCU and how to make it work.

It just looks more like something that you would see in a DC movie than a Marvel movie. I can't really explain it more than that. I'm not complaining and don't have an issue with the DC costumes (except for Harley Quinn's), it's just if I didn't know what the character was, I would have assumed it was a Suicide Squad character.
quote:I think this is a BIG part of the problem. Why can't they be the same thing? Why does the movie version have to be that different?
I'm in for Suicide Squad, for sure. I think that all in all, Harley looks great. I think Deadshot's armor costume is pretty good, even if his civilian pimp outfit looks ridiculous. I think Katana's costume is pretty good, but was WAY upstaged by her representation on Arrow. Others either run together or the purpose is unclear. Wait and see. I'm just more excited about seeing that Crossbones in action than most of the SS.

I enjoy reading theories of what could happen. Probably zero to this but wow would it be cool...

Watching marvels avengers assemble... The new guy... About ant man joining.... So it's obvious that he can get small, but in the episode he can also get huge... Think well see this in the movie? Red skull was on monster island and afraid of thanos coming to destroy earth... Pretty solid episode
quote:Yeah, thats why I left if off my list.
Wolverine's Civil War sidestory is also really interesting, though it might not add that much to the big picture.
quote:The main Civil War book will just be Civil War #1-7. Any other trade paperback branded as "Civil War: _____" will have 3-5 issues of whatever series it is (spider-man, x-men, etc) that tie in to the Civil War crossover. There are some hardcover collections that group some separate stuff together as well. The Avengers hardcover includes the Captain America and Iron Man solo issues, for instance.
Couldn't respond on my phone yesterday, for whatever reason. So first of all, thank you all for that information. Very helpful.
Second, do you happen to know what issues would be included on the Civil War book?
And third, as a fan of the films but having never owned more than a few comic books (I think I had a Bishop X-men comic way back in the 90s)... which sagas, if any, would you recommend? Is the Infinity Gauntlet worthwhile, or would it be too old, or with too many obscure characters, to have much relevance to the films? Civil War? Etc.
Thanks in advance. And for any of you who have been reading the Civil War online, feel free to chime in!
