I think this proves Heineken's point though. Her worldview didn't align with Disney, and she got famously fired for it. I think they've since reconciled to some degree though.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if Ruffalo got fired but I doubt he has.

Yeah if anything it proves that they only go after people who don't agree with the company line…which Ruffalo almost certainly would be toeing that line

My 9 year-old told me yesterday he can't wait for Deadpool to rip on Downey Jr. for being both Dr. Doom and Ironman. I thought that was a pretty astute prognostication. If anyone is going to make that joke, it's WW.

I'll give this a shot but S1 was a massive disappointment IMO. Worst of the DD seasons.

I see that Jessica Jones in this season. Wonder if she's a cameo or a regular. Seems like cameo in that trailer.

The positive of Marvel fatigue is that instead of counting down the days for a new release, suddenly I realize stuff is already out (or coming out today) and I can just watch it whenever.

I went ahead and watched E1. I was struggling with the awkward American Horror Story scene rewrite he was doing, but after that I liked it. The music was pretty good.

One thing I couldn't stop thinking about was how old is he, and how long ago was the original Wonder Man movie? Actor is 40, but I bet his character is younger, so maybe that movie came out in the 90s or early 2000s before the appearance of Hulk or Ironman?

I just took it as the original movie is a old cult classic and they were at a matinee showing.

Just got around to watching this trailer and my God it looks horrendous. Season 1 of Born Again was so bad and so completely ruined the Netflix show that I thought it couldn't get worse. Well, looks like I was wrong. As a huge Daredevil fan this Born Again show really makes me sad. Screw Disney.

Five episodes in Wonder Man. I'm enjoying it. Really liked the Doorman episode. Not a knock on the show, but Ben Kingsley in this is like Tom Brady on a Pop Warner team.

You can tell he's having a blast playing this role, though.

I do love that a lot of the movie posters in the background are of Ben Kingsley movies, they just changed his billing to Trevor Slattery

Which kind of throws me off.

I see some conflicting material about how known Trevor was to the average Joe. Surely, if he was C list or B list famous, people would have recognized him as the Mandarin. Right?

I got the impression he was never well known, just someone who got by on lesser parts enough to make a living. But then they talk about him being the lead actor on the medical drama before Joe P took over. And having enough money to buy lots of drugs and liquor.

Trevor is definitely the scene stealer and a delight.

I kept thinking I knew the actor playing the brother Eric. He played a deputy on the show Banshee.

Finished Wonder Man this afternoon. I can see people hating it because it's not necessarily a "superhero show" or really tie in much to the MCU at-large. For me, it is definitely one of the top Marvel Studios shows to be released. Ben Kingsley is so great throughout. For what they were going for, this meta buddy dramedy set in the backdrop of the Marvel universe, they pulled it off.
