Between the preproduction art and that figurine, Kylo Ren could be awesome. Love everything about his look so far.

Rey too could be a classic. Her whole vibe is super cool.

As for Finn, the rumor is, once he sheds his white stormtrooper gear, he wears only the black, Under Armor type body suit beneath, at least for the first act of the movie. My guess is he then gets the attire in that figurine pic once their true journey begins.

Added two updates to the primer, both from Making Star Wars. One concerns Lupita Nyong'o's character (second bullet point in her character breakdown), the other Adam Driver's potential character (fourth bullet point in his character breakdown). The thing about Driver's costume possibly "evolving" throughout the course of the film, via the Sith artifacts he may or may not collect, is particularly interesting. If done right, I kind of even like the idea of him more or less literally becoming Vader by film's end...

Well, it all sounds a heckuva lot better than the old rumor of cyborg Luke. I know some said they would love that, but I'm pretty sure 95% of the audience would have hated that.

It does sound cool having a villain evolve as the movie progresses. If he sticks around for the entire "trilogy", it could be a very cool manifestation with him reaching this supreme sith lord status by film 3. Like you said, if done right, he could be every bit as fearsome as Vader... even if Vader is who he is ultimately imitating.

PS: It's starting to feel like it's a done deal... this movie is going to be fracking awesome. No doubt we still don't know much, but based on what we saw in the trailer and what we are hearing, this movie is going to exceed expectations.

The best way I can describe it was the first time I saw The Phantom Menace trailer I was like, "That was Star Wars?". When I saw the recent trailer I was like, "That was Star Wars!". Big difference.

This might have been the best star wars news yet.

Raid 2 was the best movie of last year.

I've never seen the Raid movies, but I am totally psyched by this. Real martial artists will make for an amazing lightsaber duel.

I didn't get the impression we'd be seeing multiple Jedi's / Sith in this flick. Guess they could be anything. Perhaps they are wanna-be type guys with light sabers... somebody for Kylo Ren to kill.

I think I heard the fights would also be toned down and not so faced paced as they were in the prequels... more like the original fights. So slow it down and make them well coordinated, can't ask for much more.

Now that The Projection List is finally live, feel free to post the primer wherever / send it out to whoever. The site needs all the exposure it can get.

Found this cruising another forum discussing spoilers. This is a supposed plot summary. I am skeptical about it because it seems like the same stuff we have been told before, but extrapolated from the information in the reddit posts...

Actually, I think that is exactly what the original writer of the "spoiler summary" did: made up a plot from the previously rumored spoilers.

There are a lot of creative people out there that can easily make up incredible stories based on what little we know is true (anything shown in the trailer) and the other details that are pure rumor, but some are considered very likely true.

It's good fun for now and reading some of this proves how easy it should be to make this movie awesome.

Been watching Star Wars Rebel with my son (almost 5).

I've gotta think there is definitely something to this collection of Jedi relics, Lukes old lightsaber, Kylo Ren's not quite professionally constructed lightsaber, etc. The latest episode had the Ezra finding the Crystal that is needed for constructing a lightsaber. I'm pretty sure those were only ever discussed in the books before. Point being, they are setting up some things now that will be relevant in the new films.

Yeah, I saw that link, but I think I'm finally done with Episode 7 spoilers. First article I've been able to keep myself from reading, and I just don't want to know anymore at this point.

Been waiting for this thread to fire up again. I've actually been relieved that it went away... for a while there it seemed like we might have most of the story revealed before Christmas at the rate the spoilers were coming. Then again, a lot of those stories were BS and maybe this one is too.

So basically Han Solo dies... well, like the story said, pretty much everybody already figures that is coming. Even if they didn't want to kill him off and he filmed the entire trilogy, Harrison Ford would be approaching 80 years when filming the 3rd movie. Han needs to go out in style, not a weak old man.

What's interesting is the possibility of Kylo Ren being Solo's kid (people have always assumed 1 or 2 of the leads would be a solo offspring). Definitely gives us reason to be attached to the villain here and gives us a big time "oh my gosh" moment when he offs his dad. Makes sense to me. How else are you going to set up an iconic villain that can match the presence of Vader and the Emperor from the previous films. Kylo Ren... Darth Vaders Grandson... consumed with anger, ends Han Solo. Yep, that would pretty much do it.

IMO, nothing shocking in that link. Nothing compared to "Luke is an evil cyborg" rumors that went around. The link may indeed be factual, but at this point it's still just another rumor. But regardless, it's info that hasn't been a very well kept secret.

I'm glad I grew up before the age of the interwebs because hearing Vader tell Luke "no, I am your father" literally shocked the poo out of my six year old arse in the summer of 1980.
