However, the more I see Quicksilver, the more I believe Fox may have actually outdone Marvel at casting/creating a character.

On the cartoon side, adults may not have flocked to them, but they seem to be doing well on the Disney channels and I think Marvel has done a fantastic job of getting kids wrapped up in their universe via their Avengers cartoons, etc. which then translates into excitement about the movies.

Exactly though, Fox did something with the character and made something excellent. I am not necessarily saying this is the case, but if you chain yourself to the original and end up having an unentertaining version, what is the point?

swimmerbabe... you need to look into Marvel Unlimited. It's $10/month or $70 for an annual subscription, and you can read damn near every comic Marvel has ever published.

This may be a dumb question, so my apologies.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver aren't the "miracles" that are shown in the cell at the end credits scene of the Capt 2 film, are they?
quote:Yes, that is them.

Literally, just two hours ago, Marvel announced a huge slate of new release dates.
Here's the already-announced group:
Guardians Of The Galaxy – August 1, 2014
Avengers: Age Of Ultron – May 1, 2015
Ant-Man – July 17, 2015
Captain America 3 – May 6, 2016
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – July 8, 2016
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – May 5, 2017
And here's the newly-announced group:
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – July 28, 2017
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – November 3, 2017
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – July 6, 2018
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – November 2, 2018
UNTITLED MARVEL FILM – May 3, 2019
Notice there's no May 2018 movie, which is when everyone assumed Avengers 3 would hit. Instead, Marvel's last announced date is May 3, 2019. Which is likely Avengers 3 NEW date. If so, my guess is they're waiting four years this time (instead of three) for two reasons:
- Phase 3 is going to be HUGE. Mainly because Captain America 3 and Thor 3 will both be the final solo movies for Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, so Marvel needs to really start establishing/expanding new characters.
- Joss Whedon will be back, but he needs a break. He can take two years and go do whatever the hell he wants, recharge his batteries, and then come back and write/direct Avengers 3. Otherwise, if Avengers 3 was 2018, I bet he wouldn't have committed (and still might not, I guess).
