My recollection is those were unaltered versions of the movies. I don't recall if the Episode IV stuff was removed, which would be the true unaltered version of Star Wars.

In fact, I will put that one in the player when I get a break today. I'm curious and want to know.

Same. I had the VHS tapes and then I bought the updated VHS tapes when the movies were rereleased. Not sure if I ever bought the DVD's.

Just FYI, this was the series/Disney+ version, which is what Simien was attached to. I don't know why Collider is running this without mentioning the crucial context that it's now it's being developed as a movie, which we learned about last September (and Simien isn't attached to). I have my doubts, but maybe we'll hear something about it at D23 next Friday...
