Where did I say it's a critique of me?
I simply thought it was weird that two immediate posts in a row called this guy an idiot. Then I made the observation that it seems to be a trend here, in that a number of posters always jump to the worst conclusions/take offense, no matter how innocuous the opinion.

This is TexAgs. There is NO middle ground. Not even on the entertainment board.

I was 32, was single, had just bought my first house and had taken a week off for that move in. Paused all that for 3 hours that Wednesday to make my first trip to a galaxy far, far away in 16 years. Met my wife a couple years later. I took my daughter to see it when it re-released in 3D, probably somewhere around 2012 when she was 6. I have yet to get my wife to sit through this movie in its entirety, but will try to rectify that sometime that first weekend in May.The Porkchop Express said:25 years ago, I was 25. In two weeks, we're going to see it together, both now age 50, with his 15 year old son and my 12 year old daughter.
Star Wars FTW
The day after the trailer came out, I went to my buddy's office and we watched the trailer online as a quicktime file about the size of your thumb. It took 2-1/2 hours to download.sburg2007 said:

I remember my buddies and I racing to the theater after school to buy our tickets in advance for opening day. Couldn't believe we were actually getting a new Star Wars movie. Then the collective "what the hell was that?" as the end credits rolled.
My brother got to talk to the FBI one time because of his massive sharing of Grateful Dead music on Kazaa during the whole Napster/Metallica shennanigans of that era.Brian Earl Spilner said:
I downloaded the clip on Kazaa or whatever P2P we were using at the time, and watched it a whole bunch of times.
