About 3 hours to go in the first round.

two nine seeds and two 10 seeds are in jeopardy, everybody 1-8 is cruising.

Happy to see my personal favorite quote of the sequels is angling for a small upset.

This early on, you're going to have to do without witty commentary for 64 matchups, but I'm thinking of cutting deep into my sleep time to do some analytics on which characters have the most left, which movie, which trilogy, etc. The ol' sportswriter stat junkie in me just can't resist.

Since no one has objected I'll be shutting the voting off between 11-12 tonight CDT.

First round has been a blast to watch take shape.

I voted for the Bail Organa / Mon Mothma line. Considering how close it was to the proximity of Carrie Fisher's untimely passing, that lined really chokes me up. Jimmy Smits delivers it with such conviction about a character he's never actually worked with other than the baby scene at the end of ROTS.

Except that I regularly have used the phrase 'delusions of grandeur' since first hearing it in 1980. I don't recall ever using the I am the Senate line in regular conversation.


I don't even remember the senate line being said, and certainly have never heard anyone quote it before this contest.


Looks like I could be a jedi if the only requirement was to stand and not defend yourself...man those 3 were worthless (and that fight scene is just awful)
