Holy sh*t.

And "busy schedule" my ass. When you're doing Star Wars, you don't just keep taking on other projects until you suddenly realize you're too busy. There's definitely something else going on here.

But they've known for YEARS that they'd be offered a massive, Netflix-like deal the second they were done with GoT. And they still took on Star Wars anyway and it was so far along that they even got a release date. There's absolutely more to the story here.

I'm completely clueless on how business in Hollywood is conducted, but this seems like a pretty crappy move on their part. They had a deal with Lucasfilm. Then later, they sing a deal with Netflix. The Netflix deal takes up all their time, so they just say "Sorry, see ya later" to Lucasfilm. In most lines of business, that's a really good way to burn bridges.
